What is the largest center channel speaker?

I just bought (thru Amazon) a Polk Audio CSI A6. It is 24 inches wide by 14 inches deep and about 8 inches high. A Very large center channel! But, is it the largest mass production center channel speaker ever produced? No!

The Klipsch RC-64 has four 6.5 inch mid-range/woofers plus a horn tweeter. It is a little over 35 inches wide and 13.25 inches deep. Is the RC-64 the largest center channel? I have not seen a larger center channel.

The RC-64 also costs an arm and two legs while the CSI A6 only costs an arm.

    Model # escapes me?
    It was HUGE!

It's the RC 7 - the center of the Reference "7" line up. I run the full Reference 7 set in my HT. Very beefy center indeed...

I have been more than happy with the Polk Cs1000p. I got it adjusted to where I like it-just recently & it does the job just fine. The subs are adjusted to pleasing bass right at you. I'm not too bass needy or I'd add a decent sub. But with SDA's why bother :) You can put a 55 inch tv on it if needed & do yourself a favor & don't move it often cause it is frign heavy

I have a Klipsch KV4 in the garage, two 8" woofers with a horn in the middle just like that one above. Came with a pair of Forte IIs. One of the rubber surrounds is torn though, gotta figure that out. Don't use center channels not sure what to do with it!

Biggest? This guy built a pretty large one ...

If you are talking about the largest center speaker Polk has ever made, it is probably the CS1000p as far as physical size goes.

    CS1000p Specs:
    Size: 34"W x 14"D x 8.6"H
    Weight: 60lbs.
Power Handling: 20 Watts to 250 Watts

But if you are talking about the baddest center speaker Polk ever made it has to be the SRT center speaker.

    SRT Center Speaker Specs:
    Size: 26"W x 17.5D x 6"H
    Weight: 40lbs.
Power Handling: 100 Watts to More than 1,000 Watts
  • I think I have the SRT series speaker. Bought new in 1996 ish. It has opened where there were seams. Is this under warranty? Thank you for the support.
