Emma's speakers

So I bought these with the specific intention as an all-arounder.
It had to be a system that was easy to use and child resistant.
By ease of use, I mean it does not have to be perfectly positioned to the closest quarter of an inch nor does it need to have the tightest sweet spot.
By child resistant, I mean it cannot easily show marks and finger prints. It also cannot be shiny to attract the roving finger (matte side panels, leather front baffle). It also had to have outriggers so as to not tip over and it had to be bottom heavy (ruled out bookshelves for Emma).
Lastly, I had to make sure it matches Emma's playroom aka the gameroom. It has brown walnut furniture so we had to try to keep with that theme.
Also, the sound had to be good. It had to be warm and easy on the ears with some forgiveness to upstreams and sources... Seeing as who knows what will be played through these.
With that said, I feel like I was able to narrow my choices down to what potentially might be the perfect speaker for my needs.
I present to you Emma's little system.

And they sound good. I tried it in my main system... Was basically good enough to take the place of the mains.

Joey, nice speakers...whats the rest of the system?
Emma's one lucky girl man, wanna adpot a 40 year old boy? lol
Looking at Rotel separates for this.

Joey,
The Olympica IIIs are very nice speakers. I listened to them with Rotel separates (RC1590 and RB1590) and I did not like the match. I much preferred the McIntosh electronics with the Sonus faber - Just MHO though.[ -

Joey, you think you're so slick! Bringing another set of speakers in the house "for Emma."

Perhaps "Emma" also needs an Aston Martin DBS? Seems like a good starter car to learn on.

Emma needs an icecream not a fancy car. But maybe if she likes music she needs a set of keys. They probably have an integrated system to play and learn,my buddy just sent a video of his eight year old reading and playing a simple piece. See if she would like to actually make music!

I did mean keys like as in keyboards

Is she going to be able to operate the system by herself? What is the interface for using the system? This is in her room, right?
Those speakers are beautiful. Hope she, and her friends, learn proper etiquette for using them. -

I agree.
Both of my daughters not only appreciate good sound and good music.
They both acquired their taste through making music -- the older with the violin, the younger with piano and her voice.
See whether Emma shows an affinity for any instrument in particular and encourage her to play.

Ha!
She did seem attracted to the Aston Martin Rapide... You need 4 doors right?
I have eyeballing the Rapide also...

The best part Victor was that no one knew about the Olympicas... They literally just showed up one morning, I told my wife we have some speakers coming before we went to sleep... She said why, I said cuz they were cool.
She let this pass.
Even funnier was that the reference speakers were back ordered so hey came the same day these guys came (in the after noon) after waiting for months for the big rig to come...

I have initiated talks with this guy.... Nothing is set yet but would be sweet to acquire a super amp.

Good luck on getting the gear you are after my friend. In case you thought I was being serious, most of what I posted was in jest
I wholeheartedly agree in having Emma pickup a musical instrument. Whatever suits her fancy. She will be well rewarded for her efforts.

I can store them here if you send the check.... Fine with me. -
I dunno Joey, seems to me I'd want to avoid having big mono's out where Emma's little wet fingers may touch. I'd look for something I could slide in that cabinet. That's just me though.HT SYSTEM-

No worries Victor... I was taken aback because you kinda are right, it was a good way to slip the speakers in kinda under the radar.
Since then, the wife has run a tighter ship.
There's a log in the budget for what I spend on audio now... it's not under the radar no more.
Btw, most of what I say is in jest too.

Nothing fits in the cabinet other than integrateds unfortunately. So I think something off the side would work.
I doubt I would land the Omegas. THere's just no way to pull it off considering that my money is being tied up in other ventures at this time.

I hope Emma likes the piano.... I really want to have a piano player in the family. Would be nice to hear an actual piano playing in the house.
