It appears that long time Club Polk member, Chuck Smallwood (Madmax) has passed away.

I first met Chuck at Polk HQ many years ago. He visited my house a few times over the years and I visited his just before he moved to Colorado. In fact, I bought a pair of CRS+ from him before he moved. Chuck loved music, audio gear and his factory hot rod Camaro race car that he somehow managed to order, although it really wasn't supposed to available to the public. It didn't even have headlights or wipers, yet he got it tagged.

Chuck really knew his audio and I enjoyed talking with him about it.

RIP, you will be missed.

I remember seeing that Camaro in the garage. I remember his posts from when I first got on here and he lived in Ft. Collins and some of them made me laugh, RIP brother.

Sometimes I think the bad news at CP shows what a special place it really is. I have true sorrow for a person with whom I had absolutely no interaction with in life. I always thought he was one of the good guys. My prayers go out to his family.

I was just reflecting on the times I was fortunate enough to have spent with Chuck. As Mark (Emlyn) noted above, he was a very smart guy. Many years ago he proclaimed that when it comes to audio, everything matters and he was right. To this day no truer words have ever been spoken about this hobby. Thanks for that Chuck.
