OK...it's settled...

"Five guys burgers and fries" is AWESOME. Cut me some slack, I'm late to the prom because I live in rural extreme Southern Az; however, during a recent Tucson trip I finally got to sample FGBF's and it was hands down the best hamburger I have ever eaten.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. The Beacon in Spartanburg St is one of the best I have had in my travels. The best chain Imo is red robin. 5 guys is good but if you are ever in Greenville Spartanburg area make an appearance. Hon mention Gilberts 17th street grill and Shula's in Fort Lauderdale.

I don't know if you're old enough to remember -- but back when I was a lad (more or less), the mother of all burgers was from Alonso's, which was located conveniently right across the street from Soundscape in Roland Park.

I thought it closed long ago -- well, at least the ownership passed from the Alonso family. "Pop" Alonso was still around when I first started going there (ca. 1976).

Have A&W here in Texas, not the same as it was 20 years ago. I'd give it 1/2 star.

Like DSkip, I prefer Whataburger to 5 Guy's. Of course that is the exact restaurant the cardiologist blamed for my heart attack. I really like Whataburger.

The best fries are Carl's Jr. No contest from anyplace I've ever tried. First time I had the was in the 80's, San Diego. Opened one in Austin, can't remember the year, but I was there within the first week. If you remember how a fry tastes close to 30 years later, the have to be good.

Never tried Five Guys? In and Out,very plain Jane simple tasteless burgers. The Habit, when I was in LA,did not try the burgers, but the Cobb salad was so good.Ate there three times and had the Cobb all three times. With a Mocha malt of coarse.

Is that the Fat Boys in Brunswick, Randy? Our son used to frequent it when he was at Bowdoin.

Five Guys? Yeah, they're pretty good for a franchise burger, among the best there. But, as noted; there are better but you have to KNOW. My brother-in-law keeps speaking of this place that has the BEST burger in Chicago, but he has not taken us there yet and I can't remember the name because I don't have unlimited access to Big Pharma and Adderall.

Gotta admit, Shake Shack is pretty good, as is Sonic, and as others have said, this has to be fast food only, there are plenty of great burgers out there that can't be had in every city!

5 Guys double cheeseburger with mushrooms and sauteed onions!
It would kill the average man. Love the burgers and concur on the so-so fries. They get a little mushy as they cool off.
