Studio 100 v4. Always dream of owning Paradigm. Now might be the chance to make it come true.

Does anybody know about these speakers? Based on what I gather it's a nice set of speakers. My question is how much of an improvement is it over the rtia9? Anybody ever listened to both? I know the best thing to do is go listened to them but wanted some input from you guys.

I've worked with Paradigm for many years and always felt they looked better then they sound.
When purchasing new , you can do a lot better IMO for the money.
The RTIA9's are just as good as the Version 4's, I believe you need to go version 5 in order to get an improvement. The 4's are nice in their own right and if you get them used good shape and a great deal I say go for them if they are what you like. Overall they are good quality speakers.

I have the Studio 40 v.2. (I know they're not even close to the 100 v.5) I got a great deal on them used a couple years ago. I like them a lot, but I've got to agree with @mantis... new, they seem overpriced.

Joey - Yeah, the Signature S4's are something I'd love to find someday. Absolutely beautiful, and from the reviews I've read, worlds above the Studio 40s.

Mantis would 800 be a good deal? Has a few blemishes on the feet but on the cabinet they are still pretty clean.

I own a pair of Studio Monitor 70PA. I was gifted them for free, I would never buy a pair personally as they don't have my sound in mind but they are nice.

I agree with @mantis they look better than they sound.

I had studio 100 v3's for a while and they were a better speaker than my Rti12's but they're similar in that they're huge, heavy and need lots of power. I bought them for next to nothing and sold them within a month because they were too big for my living room but I enjoyed them while I had em.
  • Already passed up on the speakers. Bought 2 amp instead. Total monthly allowance for electronics home. Poof!
