Help Identifying Component Values on early 3.1TL crossover (BE0031-A)

In addition to having the 2ohm resistor discussed here (http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/166927/sda-srs-3-1tl-driver-phase/p1), my early 3.1TLs seem to have an extra capacitor in the tweeter circuit, as you can see here (note two electrolytics are glued to the big 12uF mylar):

Hidden from view here, pic showing the crossover label:

That extra cap doesn't seem to be present or discussed in other threads I've dug up, e.g.:

http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/47929/rebuilding-3-1tls-crossovers

But in this thread, also early 3.1TLs given the resistor, they are present but not discussed:

http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/106099/3-1tls-before-and-after/p1

My hunch is that they are a pair of 12uF electrolytics that combine to make the 24uF shunt cap value for the stereo driver circuit.

Thanks in advance!

Ryan

that would be my guess, but dang if that 2 ohm didnt show up again. hopefully Tony and or the others can help you.

have you seen this interactive layout of Tony's board? just move your mouse over each spot will show you what should be there.

Oh that's fantastic, thank you. Very helpful tool, that's super slick, nice @gimpod !

Seems a viable option will be to use a 24uF Sonicap instead of parallel 12uF caps, but I wonder if anyone has used parallel 12uFs instead and what result.

The result would be less money in your wallet. Other than that, no difference.
You will have to be creative fitting everything on the original boards.
Tony's, (@gimpod) boards are a lot easier to work with.8zjgak58hse6.jpg

@westmassguy it's hard to tell from the picture, but do you have two resistors in the B & G connections?

Yes, a .62 ohm and .68 ohm in series.
