So the time has come to upgrade my Onkyo 709. The options I have now are the Marantz 6010 or if I wait a few weeks get the 7010 instead. Not sure if the wait is granted.

    Can't go back on the purchase of the 6010 once you've made it. If the 7010 is offering a better feature set of things you're actually going to put to use, hold out for the higher end model. Getting the 7010, you'll likely have no regrets or, at the very least, lessen your chances for buyer's remorse.
