Just installed Neutrik connections on my SDA-CRS+'s as well as added a AI-1 Dreadnought but I'm not hearing any difference when I connect the SDA cables to the speakers. I took off the grill of my right speaker and both woofers are moving equally when playing music. I thought the SDA woofer should turn off and move significantly less when the interconnect in not in play? When I do use the SDA connection, nothing changes.
How can I test to make sure everything is running properly?

sub bass drive will be working without cable so that SDA side should still play below 150hz i believe.

Okay so the difference will be really subtle with my ear against that woofer when plugging in the SDA cable? So what should I be listening for? I have a DDM if you guys recommend checking something.

When you unplug the SDA cable the sound field should just collapse.
when my CRS's came in 1 of my speakers had 2 6510's in them...should have been a 6510 stereo driver and a 6511 dimensional driver.. and I had some wiring issues! I had Dave @westmassguy do my crossovers and make sure i rewired everything correctly.2 ch- Polk CRS+ * Vincent SA-31MK Preamp * Vincent Sp-331 Amp * Marantz SA8005 SACD * Project Xperience Classic TT * Sumiko Blue Point #2 MC cartridge

Not only does the SDA driver produce sound below 150Hz, it moves when the SDA cable is disconnected for the same reason the PR moves.
If the sound stage doesn't increase with the cable connected, you've got something wired up wrong.

Gotcha - thanks guys. So I have the ability to pan left or right with my preamp and what I did was hard pan left and check the right speaker. With the SDA cable removed on the right speaker, the speaker does not produce any sound. Same result when I hard panned the preamp right. It looks like the SDA connection is indeed working which is great.
Looks like I'm wired up correctly - thanks again guys!

When i take my cord off it drops right out. Very noticeable & when you plug it back in it raises right back..

If you have the SDA cable hooked up, and throwing your balance left than right you will still hear sound out of each speaker, the dimensional driver will still be producing sound...
-
Quick and easy test with the cable connected. Move the balance full left. The left inner stereo woofer and tweeter should be producing left channel sound. The outer dimensional woofer should be producing deep bass frequencies only. On the right speaker, only the outer dimensional woofer should be producing the out of phase left signal, at a reduced level. Move the balance to full right, and the opposite should occur.Home Theater/2 Channel:

I just looked at your thread on installing the neutrik connectors and cables HERE and it looks right.
Some testing idea's:
1. If you have a common ground amp disconnect the dreadnought and connect the positive wires (the one that go's to the neutrik connector) together and see if that makes things better. If it does then pop the lid off the dreadnought and check how it's wired. If not goto #2 recheck your cables and the neutrik connector on the binding post plates.
Look here on how it should be wired The AI-1 Dreadnought Project Pt.1
Basically as follows for the Avel 800 VA Transformer Part No. Y236906
Right Pin = Red/Yellow
Right Blade (Negative Speaker Terminal) = Black/Orange
Left Pin = Grey/Brown
Left Blade (Negative Speaker Terminal) = Blue/Violet
2. Plug the Neutrik cable in at the speaker and measure the dcr at the other end of the cable it should be about 2.2 Ohm's (it will probably read more on your meter don't worry about it), if it reads 0 ohm's you've got a short somewhere (I would look at the neutrik connector on the cable see if there's a lose strand touch the other wire.) If it reads infinity you've got a bad or no connection somewhere, go back and check everything, cable and the neutrik connector on the binding post plate to the crossover.
