2.3 tl upgrades

After 2 years of ownership, and I should add much enjoyment, I'm moving forward with more upgrades. Initially these had blown tweets in top position so completed the recommended 198 upgrade. Obviously a huge improvement there. Switched to a low DCR iron core inductor, ERSE, unwound to around 16mH with audible improvement to bass. Finally got around to applying no-rez , which had been laying around for 2 years, behind stereo array section with mixed impressions. Only used 3"x length of stereo array section, but feel bass has suffered too much... need to check enclosure over but think I will reduce amount of no-rez?
Currently need guidance on crossover section. Weighing many comments regarding selection of components in the forums I believe the sonicap/mills recommendations would best suit my tastes. When ordering, the sonicap has all the required values but mills is not available in the 22.5 Ohm value but there is a 22.1 Ohm available. Has there been a discontinuation or is this within tolerance?

Sonic Craft is depleting their inventory of US made Mills. The original Sandcast Resistors were 10% tolerance. You're well within the value needed.Home Theater/2 Channel:

That was the logic I was applying to those resistors. Given stated tolerance on caps in the original design could one shift these ever so slightly as well or is this more sensitive? I was looking at a couple alternative cap manufactures that had values close but not dead on. I really don't want to combine caps to create exact values.

Look under Vishay Mills 12 watt, it's there.Political Correctness'.........defined

Found it...thanks!

Try removing the No Rez and replacing with Black Hole 5. I put 3" wide stripes behind both the stereo and sda drivers down to the lowest one (but not into the space where the PR is) and found that it really cleaned up the midrange. Congestion I didn't realize was there was gone, and the bass improved."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

If bass was reduced by adding a single strip of No-Rez, something else is going on. Air Leakage, mid-woofers not wired properly etc..Home Theater/2 Channel:

I have to check a few things on cabinet sealing. Although BH-5 seems to be 1st choice I believe these products are similar.

BH5, Sonic Barrier, No-Rez all act similarly. The small amount you installed, should not have diminished the bass.Home Theater/2 Channel:
