    Just because people were talking about how to make a weapon, and what it could do, doesn't mean that it was wrong.

    If so, then they gotta delete my recent post about "Thermo-nuclear War"... What's the difference???

    Now, if they said anything about who to use it on, or threatened someone...etc. Then I could see a reason to censor it.

    I used to be somewhat conservative, and a republican, but the Bush administration has really turned me into a Democrat. Look closely folks, we're losing a lot of rights under this admin. in the name of "protection" and "freedom". They are using fear to motivate and manipulate us. This is the wrong way to go. I'm not a huge fan of Kerry, Edwards was my guy... But anyone is gonna be better than bush.

    Now, just because Polk owns the forum doesn't mean they have the right to illegally censor its content. This is greater exposure for them than allowing questionable or undesirable content.

    The Freedom of Speech will have a profound affect on the internet age...

    How far do we take banning certain conversations???
    When it becomes illegal, or unacceptable to talk about how to build weapons, do we arrest the engineers who are currently building them at Lockheed Martin?

    Think about it. What happens if the government says its illegal for you to have certain videos, books...etc.? How quickly we forget...

    WTF? are you serious? this isn't the government. this is a private website that's bandwidth is paid for by POLK AUDIO, not you, not your tax dollars.

    that means POLK AUDIO can deny the priviledge of use to anyone they choose and furthermore can restrict conversations to whatever they want.

    Your Freedom of Speech has nothing to do with this PRIVATELY RUN WEBSITE.

    Does Freedom of Speech mean I can come into your home and yell and curse to your face whenever I feel like it? Hell no. And it means you cannot do squat on this website UNLESS POLK AUDIO gives you permission to.

They are not funded by the government and your constitutional rights do not apply in regards to speech on a message board that is funded by someone else. These aren't public forums.

    Are you trying to "control" my comments?

    Is there something wrong with debating freedom of speech issues and the internet?

    Just because the FCC has said the F-word is out of bounds, who's to say they won't say other words are out of bounds too?

    Do comments like these upset people here? If so, I think we need to examine why.

    I think people are trying to say that this is a message board for home audio...not for you to talk about your latest crazed conspiracy. I mean i'd love to duke it out with you politically, but your politics are so scattered that I wouldn't even know where to begin.

    George Bush does not = Conservatism in the sense that he is a Domestic overspender, however John Effin' Kerry, the traitor, would up Bush 10 fold. The Liberals are screaming that Bush isn't spending enough and that they want to repeal the tax cuts...

    I've heard loads of things he's against, most of the time unless of course he happens to be addressing a group that's for whatever he was against yesterday.

    Is there a detailed plan ? or is it just the let's get rid of Bush, plan ? Generalized statements like more European leaders like Kerry are total nonsense especially when he can't seem to identify who they are and why the fork should we care WTF anyone in Europe thinks any way.

    I believe what Polk is simply reminding everyone about is that NOTHING should come before respect, tolerance, and common sense and good manners.

    If you forget forget these things while posting on this board, where everyone from kids to senior citizens can be reading, Polk reserves the right to yank the offending posts and/or ban you from their board.

    That's not censorship, that's ownership.

    Bottom line is if the forum loses its sense of humor and entertaining value I'm out.

    Audio and this forum is a hobby to me and as serious as I am about it,(which I can't come close to a lot of members here), its far from my career and is nothing more than a release.
