Speaker wire/cable recommendation

I am looking to upgrade my speaker wire (heavy guage wire now) to a better quality thinner wire/cable. I will need around 35-40 feet each They are for my rears.
..
History & Mission
I have recently been upgrading my cables in all my set ups for 2 channels & i got back into HT & have just finished putting in new fronts & center cables. Im old school & used plain ole clean heavy duty speaker wire in past. I have seen alot of clean white'ish thinner kinda speaker wire/cable & it looks great & no idea if its better quality BUT its time to do something with rear speaker wires. I really dont have a budget BUT always trying to be conservative on cost (throw it out there-under 500.00). Like i stated - each side will need to be 35-40ft long & i would like to have banana pins on each end.... Any suggestions on what & where i should start looking would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
..
My HT set up consists of
Paradigm
Monitor 7's fronts-cc370-atoms rears-pdr10 subwoofer

I have a half mile of Fuerez from Douglas Connection on everything now. I am pretty happy and it did not cost a lot. I have Sewell Deadbolts for terminals.

I will check his site. Do the Deadbolts come for Doug also ? How do those go on ?..

for the type of sound you get out of rears i don't think it will be worth the money to go to better cables. and besides the thicker gauge wire is better for the longer runs.Amplifiers: Norma IPA 140, MasterSound Compact 845, Ayre v6xe, Consonance Cyber 800

They work well like they are (from what i hear-but havent compared). I like the looks of cleaner wires & wasnt sure if there was a better quality wire or cable for a decent price. Probably with these old ears i wouldnt notice a difference. Thanks for the info guys..

Sewell told me that all of part dealing with the wire are copper only the barrel is brass -
Randy, the thin white HT wire is most likely for in-wall installation. The Jacket has a UL fire rating. If your wires are exposed, you don't need that. Keep in mind, the longer the run, there more resistance you're adding. That resistance will affect the output rating of your Receiver/Amplifier. Those rating have to be taken with a grain of salt anyway. Higher resistance means a portion of the signal is converted to heat, and less signal actually reaches the speakers.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Thanks for the input all. I will stick with the heavy gauge wire im using now & order some banana plugs & enjoy it like this for now-being they are rear surrounds. Im using Canara 4s11 4ft on fronts & 6ft on center (as i built shelf above tv) angled to listening sweet spot. All with lock banana's on them & they seem to sound decent & look clean-so the Mrs's isnt complaining..

The Canare 4S11 is what I use. It's a little bright until it burns in.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Coming from cheap,12 gauge Rat Shack cable, it was a big improvement for my 2As, along with the Interconnect. I'll be experimenting with higher end cables once my Son's College tuition is paid off in about 5 more years.Home Theater/2 Channel:

I really do like the Furez for speaker wire. I've still got to burn in some cables, but it sounds pretty smooth and pleasing to me, even when new.
I'm *only* (italics still not working?) using the Sewell Silverback banana connectors right now on some of my diy builds, but I prefer the double-set screw type used in the Silverback over the fan-and-foldover method that I think is used on the Deadbolt? I don't know, just seems to me that the double set screw will make better contact to the body of the plug. I've even considered flowing solder in after.

Monoprice wire & the Sewell bananas are excellent. I used something similar to those on heavy guage wire & they seem to work pretty good. I started this thread because in this hobby it seems some look for better performance & cables to me seem to do better & they sure look neat & cleaner when ya got live with them & wife likes cleaner-non clutter look..

I went with Blue Jean BJC Ten White (5T00UP) (White jacket, 10 AWG) for my rears. It's about a buc a foot so it wont break the bank. For surrounds I think it sounds great.Anaheim Hills CA,

Yep, can't go wrong with The BJC cable....especially for in-wall installs. 12 AWG here...I need to buy some more to re-wire my new place. Going in-wall myself to clean things up. Well actually I've been wanting to try the Furez FZ122AS 12AWG....I might go that route.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2 -
Good cable the FZ122AS.The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
