    So, I have seen a LOT of her fights and have grown tired of this false idol that she has become.

    Ronda got absolutely DOMINATED from the first bell. This will be one to remember. Watch the news for it in the morning as I'm sure it will be more viewed than Paris...

    While I didn't get to watch the fight live, I did see enough clips on the web to wonder what was up with Rousey. Holm had a mean "Apollo Creed" like jab that seemed to stun Rousey from the start. I'm thinking Holm stung her good early on with it and she never recovered.

    The rematch will be quite interesting and a VERY healthy payday for both of them!

    Rhonda seemed out of sorts from the git go. Holm was a type of fighter she's not used to fighting either. If anything, I want to say Rhonda was not prepared and took Holm not seriously enough.

    Holm, did her homework, brought her A game and is a tough fighter in her own right. I knew this would go past 1 round, but thought Rhonda might win by a submission hold eventually. Holm never gave her that chance though and just boxed her ears off finally putting her away with that kick.

    rhonda started the bout off by blocking punches with her face because she was too focussed on trying to get in close and finishing holms early in typical Rhonda fashion.
    The pre fight video was quite entertaining. As always, filled with animosity about the other fighter, I'll pound your face flat mentality. At the weigh-in, they had to be split up when posing for their "stance photo".

    all this means that the rematch is going to be a good one.

    I have to agree with tony. Rhonda didn't take this seriously enough, Rhonda wasn't fighting like herself either. She usually comes in there like an animal. Everyone has their off days though.

    It's actually safer than Boxing. If you don't like Boxing either, then this is not the sport for you. I enjoy it quite bit. These athletes are in superb condition, far more than most sports. I like Rhonda, and she's brought a lot of positive attention to the sport.
    You can't always bring it, which is what happened. No one holds the belt forever.

    Such a ridiculous statement. Mma is a sport just like any other. I have been practicing in martial arts for the past 3 years. If it's anything we are taught it is to avoid conflict. And just so you know we have lots of women in our classes. I also spar with them on a regular basis. And guess what? They are pretty dam good, some as good as men. I think it's great women can be on the same level as men in the ufc. If anything it is a respect for women.
