White Christmas tree

My Wife wants to buy a white christmas tree this year. I always like to go out and get a real tree. I do it every year I bring it home and surprise the family with it. A few years we all went out together and picked one out but I usually like to go alone and surprise everyone.
So this year I'm not so sure switching it up and going with this white Artificial tree. My wife is hell bent on getting one.
Does anyone rock a White tree?

White trees remind me of the movie "Goodfellas".

And here I thought mhardy was going to link us to an episode of South Park, lol
White, Aluminum, Green, Real, we've had them all, but not since I've been married. About 15+ years ago, my wife bought a fake tree (green) after X-mas for about $5.50 (on a phenomenal discount) and it's been with us ever since? I guess my wife doesn't really care what kind of tree it is as long as we don't have to PAY for it!Currently orbiting Bowie's Blackstar.!

One chance of mentioning a green tree covered with cotton for the snow effect. One. Then you better get a white tree. Happy wife, happy life.

I don't buy into anything xmas any more. Kids are grown.
Not a big deal. Eat a good meal with my sons and hang around
for a day. I don't need to go $$$$ into debt to enjoy the holidays.
I've seen all sorts of figures for the number of people out there who haven't
paid off last year's xmas spending binge.
As of right now, I don't even have the 20 year old fake tree anymore.

Agreed. However, I do have this little fake tree that I leave decorated in the basement. Every year around Christmas I carry it upstairs.

^ That's an excellent suggestion (better, in some ways, than a tree if the smell is paramount). Look for fresh (really fresh) balsam (IMO) -- I love that scent!
We used an artificial tree for nearly 30 years (same tree) from shortly after we got married 'til we moved to NH... in the spirit of living in the North country, we cut our own now. Fresh-cut do hold up well (FWIW).

If you play it backwards, it says " mantis is a sucker, no real tree for you!!"
