This was a nice little project. Clarity PX Caps, Mills Resistors, Tony's @gimpod boards, New Erse SuperQ Inductors, New MDF mounts, New Binding Posts, New10 gauge Jumpers, SpeakONs, and New 10 gauge Interconnect.

Thank You Sir. It's not magic, just plan everything out first, dry fit the components, then do it as neatly as possible.

First time post (in many years), but a constant lurker. I contacted David (@dhsspeakerservice.com) with some questions regarding my Polk SDA 1.2tl's. The result was the product of this thread, a full rebuild of my x-overs!
I purchased my 1.2tl's in 1992 brand new from a stereo store in San Diego (the name escapes me at this time). I originally only had funds to buy the 2.3's, but when I finally saved the $ and borrowed my girlfriend's (wife presently) truck, I arrived to find out that the SDA line had been discounted and the store was blowing out the remaining inventory 2 for 1!. They happened to have 1 more set of the 1.2tl's in stock and without thought, they were loaded into my GF's chevy S10. They BARELY fit in the bed.
For the last 20 years I have been bi-amping them with a pair of Carver TFM-42's, a Carver Pre-amp and a Carver Sd/a-490t, and at that time that was a stretch for me financially. But, man, was it worth it. (I have since then upgraded the cd/pre to Krell components). Playing the Buffalo Springfields, "for what its worth", was almost a religious experience!
I grew to love my 1.2tl's so much, that I decided to have all the electronics rebuilt and do all the recommended mod's. I can't wait to get everything back together and get rocking! This forum is awesome and I look forward to participating abit more in the future. When I figure it out, I plan on posting some pic's of my speaker refurb experience.
Thanks again to David for his excellent guidance in this process, and if anybody out there is EVEN thinking about upgrading/rebuilding their polks, I wouldn't hesitate woking with David. thanks! and what a great forum. jsr

DSR you'll be blown away by the improvements you hear, though it'll take ~ 200 hours for the Xover components to fully settle in. Congrats!
