So the guy I was emailing back and forth today on the issue, was telling me that the zip ties look to have been cut!! and that they pack their stuff really good..

Hahaha.. Yeah looks like you did a fine job.. That thin bubble wrap was all that was protecting them, and not even enough to keep them nice and tight in the box..

He then tells me to ship them back so they can look at them, I was like "ship them back on my dime?? I don't think so..

Anyway after a little back and forth he said he has two replacements coming from Solen but it takes 7-10 days which is true as I had to wait for these, and that I just need to tell him what shipping cost and he will credit me the cost...

I was really looking forward to working on my CRS+'s..

I hope they do the right thing here...

  • That sucks. Those should have been double boxed with foam packing. No excuse for that.

That is a shame. I have done quit a bit of business with Parts Connexion and have had very good service. It has been mainly capacitors but they were well packed.

Okay, so they had me ship them back and stated they will reimburse me the shipping cost, so this morning I went to ship them back, was going to cost me $95 to ship back, I told the lady I would hold off. Keep in mind these inductors cost me $143..

I went back to work emailed the guy at PC and he reassured me I would be reimbursed, and knew it would be expensive to ship back, so I shipped them back this afternoon..

Now is it just me or does this seem right?? Why would they be willing to reimburse me $95 for shipping for parts that cost $143??

He told me he has two replacements headed his way from Solen, at this point I wish I had spent the extra money and purchased them straight from Solen..

Something just seems wrong with the process in return, and replacement..

    Guess time will tell..

And no the box wasn't cut open..

I'm surprised PC didn't send you a shipping label as it would cost them considerably less using their account.

It would have been cheaper if he emailed you a return shipping tag on his account. I've had similar issues on large items and the were just as a-ss backwards about returning the item as this transaction

Curious to see how Solen will pack these inductors.

  • You've heard it all from us and I also had 2 shipping nightmares. One delivered to the wrong address and the other sky hooked up to my balcony by FED-EX. Thankfully there was no damage. If the woman opened up my x-overs she would have thought they were bomb parts. If they don't want them back you could always make a slinky out of them. Larry, really sorry for a piss poor delivery. Just a thought since imported from Canada maybe they did x-ray them and had no idea what they were. Not trying to make excuses only why they were opened and splayed out like that.

I'd have a hard time coughing up an additional $95 bucks to return them. Given they initially gave you a hard time & all I wouldn't be very trusting of them and would have been tempted to dispute the credit card charge for the initial order unless they provided a prepaid return label.

So I did ask on how this was all going to be handled and this was his response..

    Hi Larry,

Just waiting on the replacements to come in from SOLEN. Once they are here & the damaged ones are received, we will ship the replacements off to you at no charge. The credit for the freight to return them to us will them be issued back to your credit card at that point.

Hope this helps. Any further questions or concerns, please let me know.

    Regards,

    Dave.

Seems to be on the up and up, the communication has been top notch thus far anyway..

He may need the parts shipped back to him so his insurance will reimburse him for what he is paying out, including your return shipping costs.

Sorry to hear this but I would have rejected acceptance of that package as damaged goods. I know we all hope and wish in these situations and taken a chance but that package had "DOOM" written all over it. JMO

Really sorry to see this Larry. :disappointed:
