Why is it my internet freezes up whenever I visit any webpage that has anything to do with this topic in a negative way, like the above link? Conspiracy!

Even with a fast connection, they're jamming more ads, and video on every page now.
I have a fast machine and very fast broadband, but MSN/NBC web pages for example, are slow as shite. You have to wait till all the crap loads before you can even scroll the page. Doesn't matter which browser I use either.

I use Google Chrome with two different extensions and the pages load faster. Ad Blocker stops the ads from loading, which is the main reason my pages load slowly, and, I forget the name, but there's a Flash blocker that I use. It blocks flash player from running, unless you click on it to okay it just for that page.

Between the two of them, it speeds up pages loading by quite a bit. Only works on Chrome, but I think Firefox has something similar.

It's called "Adblock Plus" for Firefox. I also recommend "NoSquint" specifically for this forum to increase the text size which makes the actual thread part of this forum take up more room on the browser and makes this dumb Vanilla forum somewhat livable.
