Converting FLAC to mp3

I want to put some music on an sd card. I have all of my cd's saved as FLAC's and they are again buried in the bunker. I was hoping that EAC could convert the files but I don't see that function. Is there any free software or some indigenous windows program that will do it?

No I am not crazy yet. I want to try it in my car which I highly doubt would play a FLAC file.

Have you tried playing a FLAC file in the car? Many devices do recognize and have the proper codec for FLAC. Even at their highest bitrate, mp3s suck.Home Theater/2 Channel:

It's the car: I play 160 kbs MP3s in my car and it sounds OK (I EQ the **** out of my car system). I play FLACs @home (no EQ at all) so I know what "good" sounds like. There are many free MP3 encoders/decoders, but you can go directly from FLAC->MP3 with something called SOX (http://sox.sourceforge.net/).

I rip all my CDs flac using media monkey, then it gets automatically uploaded to google music cloud, which automatically converts them to 320 Mbps MP3. Use an app called play music to stream my entire library from my iPhone while in the car. And u can download those files to ur phone for when the reception is bad.
I have found that in the car-especially on the freeway-I cannot tell the difference between flac and 320, though I certainly can at home.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
