To Rebuild or To Part Out?

A year or so ago, I bought a pair of ugly SDA-SRS2 speakers.
When I say ugly, I mean ugly. The side wood trim is peeling off, the caps are worn down and cracked, and the grills are sunbleached. It's gonna take a decent amount of work I don't know how to do to get them looking decent again.
However, the biggest problem is that I'm missing a 15 inch passive radiator, and have kinda given up on finding one anytime soon. They seem to be an elusive beast.
Everything else with them is fine. I'm currently running SDA-1Cs with a Luxman R-1120 receiver. Are these SRS2s a significant sound upgrade if I can get them running? Is it worth being an amateur woodworker and tracking down a 15 incher?

Part them out, but not here as you need 100 posts before you can sell.Political Correctness'.........defined

Nobody ever specifies which SDA-SRS 2 speakers they have or are trying to sell.

Those are the equivalent of the SDA 1C, in a larger cabinet and with a larger passive radiator. The blade/blade version is the equivalent of the 1B, in a larger cabinet and with the larger passive.

If you don't have a plan for proceding, parting them out is the way to go. If you've got your heart set on that model, put your proceeds toward finding another pair.
We're all about revamping speakers around here, but those are too far gone to imagine restoring them.Jay

Seller must be a complete whack-job to think it's worth his asking price.

In the 5 years I've been a member here this is the first 15" passive radiator I've seen for sell. But at that price anybody who buys it has got to be nuts also.
But I did put it in my watch list just to see if it does sell. LOL“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain -
If you check the sellers other Items for sale, it looks like he/she is parting out an SRSHome Theater/2 Channel:

Hey guys, the passive on there is mine. An audio friend with a little more prior knowledge of selling prices helped me price it out, since I couldn't find any sales history. Someone pointed me towards a pair selling for $450 a few years back, so I adjusted the price. Sorry to make anyone angry, was just trying to take help from a friend!
