So I walk into an Urban Outfitters because they have a few LP's in the store, when a still wet behind the ears sales girl walks up and asks me if I need help picking out some "vinyl". She tells me how much she loves the new George Clooney album they got in, then proceeds to hand me the soundtrack to "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou"!
I just laughed in her face (tried REALLY hard not to, but it just came out) and walked out...

When you get to be 50 years old, and someone comes up to you thinking they know way more than you do, especially something you have been around for your entire life, and tries to dazzle you with their brilliant BS, sometimes the polite thing to do is walk away. And sometimes, rarely, is that stupidity so blatant, that uncontrolled laughter will erupt. Once again, the only thing to do is walk away.
This is why I have decided to ignore you most of the time, but as in this case, your BS is so brilliant that I just have to laugh.

John,
I am sorry, but when you posted this what was your goal or hope? That a bunch of us would rally around and commend you in that you showed up some young salesperson at a store? That you would be showered with praise for belittling someone and proving without a doubt that you acted like a pompous **** and nothing else?
What next, got any stories of stealing little kids lunch money?
I won't wish you a good day on this one.

Not at all Nathan... Please understand that I know just about everyone in that store because my store happens to be right across the hall(inside a mall). The girl even thought it was hilarious after she caught what she had done. The hilarity of the moment was she was trying to impress me with her knowledge of all things vinyl, including her awesome taste in music.
I guess it was one of those moments that you had to be there to witness, first hand. The reason I posted it is for much the same reason we post jokes and other funny stuff that happens.
There was no hope in my post as I thought most would find it funny and perhaps share a few similar experiences, that is all. Perhaps I should have laid out a paragraph or two with all the details, but when posting from work, I just don't have that kind of time. The Gear... Maybe you aint so bad after all PFB... I love Tom Jones. I remember his TV show from the late 60's and early 70's... came on before Laugh-In as I recall. I think I will pull that album out of my stack and listen to it when I get home.
