From back in the day, here's an entry level audiophile piece that will play anything but a blu-ray and has 192kHz/24-bit Burr-Brown DSD-1791 audio DACs, highly regarded for their audio quality.

Specs:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-PHhmQMbNsjS/p_033DV2910B/Denon-DVD-2910-Black.html

Completely functional and in very good cosmetic shape, comes with power cord and remote, and I might have some spare cables to help get you hooked up.

These are on eBay for $2-400, take it home for $100 +Shipping.

Thanks
Ryan

Not interested, but sweet deal. I've had a denon from this era & it was excellent.

It is, even if all you want it for is SACD, which I've contemplated keeping it just for that, but seeing as I don't have any SACD's...

    I wish I knew, I don't have any SACD's. :(
As for Redbook, I had to google, that. Learned a lot! Suffice to say if it's a regular CD format I would imagine it would play...beyond that...no idea.

I can tell you It sounds as good as my Panasonic DMP-BT500, but they have similar DAC's so that isn't too surprising. If it were a Blu Ray Player I wouldn't be selling it, only because my Panasonic doesn't do SACD.

Yes, it plays Redbook CDs, SACD, DVD-A, DVD, etc. It is considered a "universal" player, but it does not play HD-DVD or Blu Ray.

I believe I bought yours.... Great player!

  • It is, and if I had/cared about SACD I'd keep it. Did I already mention that? :p

I'd much rather put the money into a turntable, as my record collection is growing with nothing to play them on. :/
