Why do I get no sound through Sound Bar while watching Netflix on a Smart TV?

I have a Sound Bar 3000 hooked up directly to a Samsung Smart TV. I have no problems using the sound bar with my DirecTV service while watching programs. However, if I switch to watching a movie on Netflix or from my BluRay player, there's no sound coming out of the sound bar system. How do I set it up so that the sound bar will operate for all three? Thanks.

Yup, need to know what cable is running to what.

Maybe your bitsreaming to the sound bar? Try pcm decoding insid the player before you send out the signal.

Connect the sound bar with an optical cable to the TV output. Set the Samsung tv to external speakers. Set the DVD player to PCM in the audio settings.
Are you getting NetFlix from smarthub or from the DVD player?B&W CM9Classé Sigma
