Good things about the new forum

Longer edit time on posts (1 hr).

Better layout of PM replies (rather than the box inside the box inside the box).

More PM space.
No more "Enders...Clean Out Your PM's" threads.

Easier to post pics.

Easier to start a thread.

Option to "like or agree" with another member's post.

What else do you folks got?

I like how thread titles are tagged with the number of new posts since my last visit to it, and takes me to the first unread post when I click the title. I think is makes it much easier to follow a thread, because I am not tempted as much to jump to the last post and pretend I know all that was said. I like the avatars too, as well as the items mentioned above.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. I much prefer the Recent Discussions list over the New Posts functionality in the old forum, because there's always stuff there and it's sorted in order of last activity, just like it should be

I do like that Recent Discussions just lists ALL the threads in order of last post.

The old forum would sometimes list 3 or 4 if it wasn't busy, and I would have to click a few buttons to get all of the days posts.

This is more convenient in my opinion.

I've got nothing to add, but thanks for starting this thread. I was going to do the same yesterday, but unfortunately I didn't have as many positives (and I mean that as more a shot at myself, not the new forum).

I like how it is similar to facebook as far as notifications and the notifications are awesome.

Also am enjoying Like/Dislike/LOL/etc etc - I will use that way more than actually posting since I am usually browsing. Much easy to just punch the ol agree or like button ya know :)

I also wonder if this new forums has better anti-spam functionality? I thought that was part of the reason for the upgrade.

So I noticed -- I vehemently dislike 'cute' smilies; I like good ol' ASCII emoticons, but we seem to have lost them (unless I can figure out some workaround)...

It would be good if whoever is running this show would:

    1. Use blue instead of red for text color. As others have said, it is killing my eyes.
    2. Return the marker to a thread title that shows you have posted to that thread.
    3. Removed the thread starter and last poster icon from the top level page showing all threads.
    4. Make the display wide screen.
