It's getting dark out there, but with the tournament in the bag for Rory I'd like to see them finish it out. Everybody remembers that round at Firestone where Tiger finished in the dark, Rory needs to start adding moments like those to his resume...

What a fantastic final round! I feel for you guys who can't stand golf, because it doesn't get much better than what we just watched. We got it all today - a rally from behind, some brilliant golf shots and then the signature moment with the final putt in the dark.

Also, we made it all day without obsessing over Tiger Woods which is nice. Even better, maybe we finally have a true replacement in Rory. Now let the discussion begin, can Rory catch Jack

Great tournament! We do need a couple dominant players being consistent over the next few years, as TW is past his prime. I would like to see Rory, Ricky, Bubba and a few others compete for the majors consistently.

Tiger, Phil, Ernie have all had their heyday.

New blood is needed, agreed, but Phil was right there and i like the 40 somethings being relevant. Few sports can provide that span of competitiveness

Phil has always been right there, too many times. He's been my favorite golfer for years, but if I wasn't a Dallas Cowboys fan, I don't think I could have made it over the years rooting for Phil.

Rory is obviously hot, but what Fowler accomplished was pretty bad@ss as well: top 5 finish in all four majors in the same year... only two other golfers have ever done that... Tiger and Jack. Not bad company to be in.

Was pullin' for Phil - would have been an even better finish had he been able to hole that final chip on 18 for an eagle. As it was though, it was the best PGA tournament wrap up I've seen in quite a while.

Rory is playing some really incredible golf and just seems to be getting better and better. He may be the one people are talking about breaking Jack's 18-Majors record a few years from now.

I think at this point Rory is much more likely to catch Jack than Tiger is. Tiger historically does have a way of proving people wrong, but I think another 4 or 5 majors is just too much to ask given the decline in his health and his game.

One of the best final rounds in a major that I can remember. Usually guys are choking all over the place on the final round in a major, but most everyone yesterday played very well. For Tiger to win any more majors will be difficult, with so many talented young players.

I think the PGA could learn from this tournament. They don't always have to have the most difficult setups on Sunday at the majors. Give players the opportunity to go low on Sunday and it adds to the drama.

That's the thing though, they don't ALWAYS have these difficult setups, not even for majors. The majors only represent four tournaments a year, and of those one is always at Augusta which isn't considered to be brutal, and of the remaining three typically only one or two are really difficult. They do need at least a couple tournaments a year that are on difficult courses though. IMO they have the right mix of tournaments where you can go low and a couple a year to make those golfers struggle like the rest of us struggle all the time...
