He has a contract ... if you trade him then you trade his contract... unless you eat some of the contract.... The best way out is to suspend him and not pay him and try to find a way out of the contract that releases him as a UFA...

Jeez. Embarrassed to be a bears fan. Defense is great as always but the offense was about as good as an effing typica practice squad

Wow...If it wasn't for the Bears defensive line and Cohen, they'd have no team at all. The secondary sucked, the offense sucked but had moments, play calling stunk. Painful to watch. Hopefully they make some adjustments being the first game and all.

Next five games are against teams they Should beat ? Painful to watch that offense.
Or is Packers Dee that good? They did bring in a lot of new faces on Dee? Time will tell?

I think both teams showed that its a mistake for the starters to not play at all in the preseason. Take away that one good drive that the Packers scored on and Rodgers looked pretty bad - for the most part he had no timing with his receivers - under-throwing and not in a rhythm at all. The Packers' defense played well overall but they were lucky in the end with several dropped passes by the Bears' receivers in critical situations. The pass that was intercepted in the end zone was just a foolish toss into double coverage, but it was necessitated by the dropped passes on the preceding plays. Should have never been third down. Plus the Bears had lots of penalties that showed lack of discipline perhaps due to not playing at all in the preseason together, I don't know. Both teams played good defense. I was expecting the Bears to create more havoc with their pass rush and I figured they may even injure Rodgers but the Packers' O-line played pretty well. Even though the Bears had 5 sacks or whatever I thought it would be uglier for the Packers' offense. Pretty ugly overall, tho. The Packers are now joyous and feeling positive but they have little depth and their second-stringers at many positions are a big drop off. Any injuries on the O-line or several other positions will severely test them going forward. The Bears have a tough row to hoe, the Packers play the Vikings next but have ten days to prepare. And its at Lambeau. Rodgers thinks the Packers will get the offense together in the next couple games, I'm not yet convinced.

Big deal, they have no confidence in him. 4th down and 10, in field goal range, they decided to go for it , not try the FG ?? I dunno man, says no confidence to me. Even if it was a 50+ yarder.

To me, every NFL kicker should be able to make those 50+ yarders, or sit your rear down on the bench. Least 7 out of 10 try's anyway.

The clock management, the penalties....crazy.

Tony Im afraid this has been the deal forever. I don't get it. Every year our offense sucks and I am soooooo tired about hearing Sid Luckmans name when it comes to our greatest QB ever. Maybe until people stop lining up for Bears season tickets, showing up at games dressed as Ditka and getting hammered, and spending their money to support a losing organization...then maybe ownership will figure it out. Bear fans need to be more like Sox fans and less like Cub fans. End of rant...
