Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

I was thinking about getting 2 of these, was hoping we could get to 25. I really don't need to spend that much though.

Can't wait to hear the difference.

It's nice to see this being successful, and going as planned..

So is that a total of 12? Guess I better get busy on the cases but I'm guessing I have a couple of weeks since this will take a few weeks for these to get done..

I know everyone has spent a good chunk of change to order the transformers, and since we have a few weeks till you guys receive them it only makes sense to wait a few, and it will give some of you guys on the funds side of things as well.

It would be nice to know who is going to use speakons or binding posts, this is my opinion but I think everyone should go with speakons,

    1. Speakons are cheaper.
    2. The way they lock in place.
    3. There is no difference in sound
    4. I think they look better
    5. They look like it could have come from the factory this way (more professional)

But this is up to you guys on what you want they will work either way, but I know F1, Trey, and a few other would agree with me..

I own two of these transformers, one with binding posts, and one with speakons, and the speakons are where it's at, as a matter of fact I will be building me anothe case when I build these to change out my other one with speakons..

    Good job guys...

In case anyone is wondering what Neutrik SpeakOn connectors are and what Larry's enclosure looks like, etc.

    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?142058-A-slightly-different-take-on-the-Dreadnought&highlight=dreadnought

Take note, it was discovered that the transformer sounds better mounted in the vertical position.

I strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of this run of cases Larry is doing. The transformer is not meant to sit on it's own, it's meant to be mounted in a case, and Larry's is custom designed for this exact task, his craftsmanship is incredible.

I also encourage the use of speakons!

Larry, can you whip me up a speakon backplate when you do these?

Also, should mention that Inthefade and I are in contact, and the official count is 12.

I will ask Melanie when I place the order if we can add additional units if any other buyers come forward. When I place the order, our units go in a manufacturing queue, and won't actually be built for several months. If more buyers arrive, we may be able to add to our queued order as long as manufacturing has not commenced.

Hi scubaste4sq, yes there is still time to get in. I will PM you.

At this point, I have received payment for 12 units:

Inthefade, you're supposed to be paying me today, correct? That will make 13.

I sent a PM to South Dakota Po already, have not heard back or received payment. If he is in, that will be 14.

    When scubasteve4sq pays, we'll be at 15.

Once I receive payment for 15 units, I will turn around and refund everyone the difference, which will be $26.74.

I will be placing the order on Monday so payment by Sunday is required for you to be in, although I still need to check with Melanie if we can add to this order later on.
