    I am definitely not in for this buy (no cash for the transformer or the speakers) but I wanted to ask, what is this "Speakon" that you're talking about? A different connection method? What's the benefit? I've just never heard of it and was curious. Thanks!

    Including the maybe folks, I believe we're at 13 units, since Mr_Hz wants two of them.

    So if two more units join the group buy in the coming days, the price drops $26.74 per unit. I say let's shoot for seven more, so make sure this thread bumps often!

    I could also use some help. I am attempting to make my own cables. I have the NL4 connectors. I think I'm clear as to what to do on the transformer side

    Red/Yellow (right pin) to 1+
    Black/Orange (right blade) to 1-
    Grey/Brown (left pin) to 1+
    Blue/Violet (left blade) to 1-

    I have a question about the speaker side. Do I connect the blue wire to 1+ and the white wire to 1-. And do I leave the connection to the binding post intact?

    Ok, I have been tracking the messages people are sending me, we are still at a potential 13 units. So just bumping this thread.

    For new joiners, we are looking for people who want to join the purchase to build a 1000VA Dreadnaught. Feel free to search the threads for the bountiful information about what this is. We are trying to bring the number of participants up to 15 within the next 10 days, so the unit price will drop $26.74 to $266.14 plus shipping per transformer.

    OK I'm in then, I doubt I'll find any SDA to need it, but never saw never and maybe someday a polkie will want a Dreadnaught.

    Plus I'm in a good mood, just upgrade the crossover's in my Monitor 4's myself and only burn my self once and It sounds awesome. I went with Claritycap PX's and it works LOL and sounds really sweet without any burn in time!

    One interesting thing to note is that if we get to 14 units, we've basically gotten to 15 units. 14 units at $292.88 is $4100.32. 15 units at $266.14 is $3992.10. So if 14 units come in, I'm happy to take the free transformer that I don't need and pocket $108.22!!!
