I think I have two sl2000s from when I upgraded my SDA 2a's. If so, you can have them if you need two. I'll have to check but I'm pretty sure I still have them in the boxes that the 194's came in.

Pm coming, will accept, especially if i can send you some vinyl or cds or something.humpty dumpty was pushed

Same here, it is built in on the 808, now on the 360 I have it separate, an old realistic model I bought in 1986No. The RCA's from TT go into phono input on the pre-amp.
There is no separate phono preamp by itself.POLK SDA 2.3 TLS BOUGHT NEW IN 1990, Gimpod/Sonic Caps/Mills RDO-198

Stew, if, when i repair drivers in the right speak, and can turn up the volume on both speaks, I would like to reserve those.
In case I have damaged any of the drivers that seem ok with the low volume i have put them through.
Thank you so much.humpty dumpty was pushed -
I found the two sl2000's and you are welcome to them. I don't want anything in return. I did not get a PM earlier so I send me a PM with your addy.

I have sent dromunds my addy, god bless you brother, and everyone who has offered help.
It used to amaze me how people are on here but not anymore.
My problem now is keeping up with all who have offered help, remembering who to thank, thats a pretty good problem.
I think i am good with the 2 drivers i ordered from polk, the 2 that westmassguy has sent me, already dynamatted by the way, i mean really, and the 2 tweets dromunds will be sending.
Once i have everything installed and can light both speaks up, i will know if everything is ok with the other speak, it seems ok, but time will tell.
I am going to try to pm everyone who has offered help, hopefully i dont miss anyone, but if i do, please just know how grateful i am.humpty dumpty was pushed -

Well long story short,i got the output and input wires from my phono pre to the preamp wrong in my haste,I just plugged them in from above instead of turning everything around to read what was what on the back to make sure.
The right sda started a loud popping, and some smoke came out from behind the 6510s before i could hit the power switch on the carver amp and my pre.
Now the 6510s on the right are scraping bad, I checked the crossover for burnt spots, it looks clean, I then turned everything back on after locating my mistake, everything played fine except for the scraping on the right side speak but this was the damage.
Not long ago, i would have stomped around and acted like it was the end of the world, but not anymore.
Dissapointed, of course, but i will be on the phone tomorrow morning with polk CS to order some replacements.
I feel your pain.... was backing a rare car of mine, a 440 six pack super Bee, out of my shop today and turned too Sharp to get it off the storage lift...crunched the front fender! Less than 180 of this car made with the 4 spd option I have...dumb **** move in haste all right. Like you I've mellowed with age and realized it can be fixed. Glad my dad bought me a awesome set of tools! -
Played football with Billy wayne Bishop
His older brothers built a GTO with a 440 six pack.
Even though gas cost nothing, i mean nothing in the mid to late 70s, I remember well billy getting out to connect the fuel lines to the 3rd carb in order to race, then unhooking them to cruise.
I would have owned a lime green super bee in high school except my dad knew too well, so i made do with a 6 cylinder malibu with a manual shifter 3 speed on the column.
But i would give anything to sniff that cars passeger seat if you know what i mean.humpty dumpty was pushed -
Just got back from the mailbox, and guess who has two mw6500s, dynamatted and glued, to go into my fried right speak.
Westmassguy, thank you so much, talk about above and beyond.
I will be using you for my xover upgrades, its just a matter of when, if the 1cs work after replacing the drivers, Im gonna have to wait a bit, but these will be with me forever, and you will be doing them for me, thanks again, david.humpty dumpty was pushed -

Mopar engine in a Pontiac? bet those motor mounts were tricky
By the way grew up with a friend whose dad was BIG into Mopar had a 1970 Road Runner with 440/6pk and air grabber hood. Never once did he drive with unhooked carbs... But I will say the first ride I had when he stomped it I felt my back touch the rear differential. In EFIN credible torque. At least he had the steering wheel to hang onto. -

This is an amazing place and it is just plain awesome that everyone helps each other out.
I have made a few audio mistakes along the way... frying my sansui 9090's outputs as I was going to adjust the offset/bias.
A slip of the hand, with my homemade broken fuse made a connection, and all that stored energy from a cap fried the outputs (2008)
Rushing to hook up a pair of ADS 710, forgetting that I had unscrewed the midrange and with the wires attached it was swung into the woofer, piercing the surface (2009).
Having my bass guitar, gently leaning on my dresser fall and pierce my 15" car sub that I was trying to use as a bedroom subwoofer (1998).
It is funny how you never forget but over time, it does not hurt as much as it once did. -
Tweets should be there Weds.

sorry, I just got through runnin around the room, more like limping but you get the idea.
I just got the last box, popped them in and They sound fine and i owe it all to you guys.
I tell ya, i needed a victory, the last few days has been pretty bad, mon. my doc saw me on last minute, i was kinda flippin out.
I asked him about my neurologists advice about trying cymbalta, seeing how zoloft had helped me for a long time years ago.
Let me just say, be careful if you are considering that med, and start with the lowest dose, if need be take 2 doses a day of lower dose.
He prescribed the 60 mg., seeing how i was and because im a pretty big guy, lets just say i was wigged out for 2 days, which is unusual with these meds, as they normally take days or weeks to really do anything.
Finally got a little sleep last night but still feel the effects this long afterwards.
Again, i could never have imagined such friendship from a group of guys I have never met, god bless you all, and thank you for making cry a few happy tears, first time for those in a long time.
