    Faustin,

I, for one, love 1Cs. I've had a pair for 25 years. I loved them when I first got them and love them even more now that they are "fullly" mod'd -- largely by VR3 Mods. I use a Dreadnought with a common-ground amp because the SQ is better to me.

Congratulations on a great purchase. I'll bet they grow on you as you correct mistakes and pursue upgrades.
Family Room, Innuos Statement streamer (Roon Core) with Morrow Audio USB cable to McIntosh MC 2700 pre with DC2 Digital Audio Module; AQ Sky XLRs to CAT 600.2 dualmono amp, Morrow Elite Speaker Cables to NOLA Baby Grand Reference Gold 3 speakers. Power source for all components: Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One with dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel.

Exercise Room, Innuos Streamer via Cat 6 cable connection to PS Audio PerfectWave MkII DAC w/Bridge II, AQ King Cobra RCAs to Perreaux PMF3150 amp (fully restored and upgraded by Jeffrey Jackson, Precision Audio Labs), Supra Rondo 4x2.5 Speaker Cables to SDA 1Cs (Vr3 Mods Xovers and other mods.), Dreadnaught with Supra Rondo 4x2.5 interconnect cables by Vr3 Mods. Power for each component from dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel, except Innuos Statement powered from Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One.

Thanks all for the help and support. Feeling pretty good that all will be well with this set of SDA's. I will let you know how the tweaks work out.

Bruce, one other thing, when you check the drivers and wiring, make sure the stereo and dimensional woofers, and their harnesses are in the correct position, and wired correctly. From what you've described here, it wouldn't surprise me if something is amiss there as well. They should be mirror images, not configured and wired the same. On the left speaker, the MW6510 dimensional woofers should be on the left, with the blue/white or blue/green harness, and the MW6511 stereo woofers should be on the right with the black/white harness. The right speaker is the opposite. The MW6510s should be wired in Parallel, and the MW6511s should be wired in Series. Blue and Black are positive.

My initial investigation indicated that they were correct but I will double check to make sure. I will mount the crossovers right side up also. Ordering some more hurricane nuts and screws as well as some resistors today.

Before I mess something up, I am checking to see if anyone knows for sure if the side fabric panels on the 1c's come off? I am thinking they are held on with tight fitting connectors similar to the grill covers.

Yes sir looking at the panels from the side they are glued with wood glue in a big continuous S/Z pattern top to bottom.
