It was a cheap shot and everyone knows it was and why it happened. Backes seems to me he is a cool guy and understands why. what and how it happened. No big deal. He id hit a lot of guys after he was back on the ice, that I found entertaining.

Bruins and the Canadians. I hate Canadians for some reason. LMAO I am not sure why or that I really do but I will during this match up. As we all know these two teams are not fond of each other so could be the best of the match ups so far, I hope.

I do wonder if it were not for America would Putin invade Canada.

You are, of course, correct. Niemmi was good enough, but Chicago saw that it would be more important to lock up Toews, Kane, Sharp...

The number of guys that were up for contract, it wasn't just Niemi they had to let go. Dustin Byfuglien (sp?) was a monster in those playoffs and game 6 in Philly was the last time he put on the uniform. John Madden had to go, too...

Why does everyone hate Boston teams and always make them out to be the bad guys?

I hate the Montreal vs Bruins games. Once Montreal starts with their typical flopping show ( more Subban than anyone) then the Bruins start doing the same thing. It doesn't make for good hockey. If the refs would start policing it more, it would become less of an issue.

On a side note, I wish Jumbo never left the Bruins but then again, I had literally NO say in that transaction......

Hawks are definitely the team to beat, but I just hope the officiating is better in the second round. Hawks don't need any free gifts from the league like Colorado did.

I am not sure why NJPolker hates Habs, since they beat Tampa, not New Joysey.

It would be awesome to have a Team Canada playing in Stanley Cup playoffs and just whoop everyone's behinds, but it will never happen with current more or less fair distribution of players due to salary cap restrictions.

Watched Habs beating Bruins last night. That was entertaining. As much as I don't like Montreal team, I really don't like Bruins.

Watched Habs beating Bruins last night. That was entertaining. As much as I don't like Montreal team, I really don't like Bruins.

Who is Habs??? I thought I made it clear that I hate Canadians no matter how you spell it. It was a real good game and I enjoyed it even though the Bruins lost. I can see the Bruins winning four in a row now. I will not bet on it but I can see it happening big time.

My Habs squeeked out a W thanks to the brilliance of Price, but I bet they are sore boys today.The Bruins play a tough physical game so it be interesting to see if they(Canadien's) can withstand the onslaught.

That other team that other team? That's my Wild your talking about when they tied it up I thought oh yeah. It's hard an ex Minnesotain living in Black Hawk Country I'm only 2 and a half hours out of your suburbs. I will wear my Wild shirt proudly. I have a Nephew that plays for the Bozeman. LOL...can't bring myself to utter their name. Don't know if they'll make it past the Hawks though. They did play a good game, I'll give them that. I'm sure adjustments will have to be made but they certainly seem like contenders. Hawks have been taking a pounding on the boards, lets see how long they can hold up.

Nail biter but I must say, the Bruins vs Montreal game had me on the edge of my seat for a straight three hours. Now that's hockey!!!

The Bruins will somehow have to muster up one, if not two victories in Montreal to stand a chance.

Bruins.....bullies you say. Checking is legal in the NHL just in case you never read the rules. And don't complain about "supposed" dirty hits because every team does it.........every! Just because Boston has a past of not taking anyone's **** doesn't make them bullies. Its a mans sport. If you want to stick with the ice theme, I'd suggest you follow curling, or maybe extreme picnicking ........on ice.
