Rick, just had a listen in the car so let me play it at home for awhile and get back to you on SQ. At first blush, after all this time I guess I'm pleased at how well virtually all those CCR songs hold up. A couple really come off well with the guest musicians. John has still got it, that's for sure. One or two of the songs I wished he'd have changed up a little bit maybe. Just real initial thoughts though.

Okay, I think Alex Lifeson turned 60 today, probably somebody already posted something on it today. Gonna put on side two of Hemispheres, stand on the table and raise a toast. He lived his music.

Speaking of Dylan, my bobcat friends are telling me that this new Bootleg Series #10, Another Self Portrait is pretty good. 'course they're bobcats, but so am I. Maybe another case of stupid record execs picking out songs for the album when the outtakes are much better? I need to pick it up and let y'all know I guess. I hated the album when it came out so it should be interesting, because I haven't had a bootleg series yet I didn't like. Well maybe one.

No need for the complete albums. He pretty much lost it after 1970 IMO. Mono box plus the Bootleg series and a few extra's will do for me.

Rick, finally had a chance to listen to Fogerty's Wrote A Song For Everybody at home, rather than in the car. I think the sound quality is actually pretty good. And I'm listening to a CD not vinyl. Well recorded and the guests are real good on the whole. A couple of the songs I wish he'd have changed the song up a little. Works good though on Have You Ever Seen The Rain, nice country groove. Bad Moon Rising works for me also. Long As I Can See The Light too.

Please definately let us know what you think. I definately like Self Portrait. Wig-wam and Copper Kettle are absolutely phenominal!

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Rick, I've been going through some old vinyl recently that I had upstairs and found some Fogerty I forgot I had, including Eye Of The Zombie, original vinyl from '86 I think, which will be once again hitting the turntable soon to see how it held up over time. I'm also a big fan. Guy still has the range in his voice. As I mentioned, on his new one I think his work with a few of the guest artists really nails it, like with My Morning Jacket on Long As I Can See The Light, and although I never thought I would have said this, Alan Jackson on Have You Ever Seen The Rain. I heard Rolling Stone gave it a real good review, might want to check that out.
