Hey Joe was released as a single on this date in 1966 in England. It was also the last song played by Jimi at Woodstock and since he was last Hey Joe was the last song played at Woodstock. I bought this album new when it came out - when I was in 7th grade I think - and I still consider it one of the greatest albums of all time.
