Selling my SDA 1C's

Fully upgraded with Sonicaps, and Mills. These have brand new RDO-194's, and rings, solid oak wood caps, and new grill cloth, these also have the strips of BH5 behind the drivers, and cardas binding post's, I also have a custom SDA cable.

I will also throw in a set of custom made brass spikes.

These speakers are lucky to have 100 hours on them since they have been redone.

Asking $500 for the set, and IMO this is one hell of a price for the money I have into them..

I can post pics later if needed, but there is a couple of threads here that follow the work I have done to them..

    wow...my brain is spinning. How far is it to Colorado from TN again? Wish I was closer and had some funds to make this happen. Hell of a good deal. Do you have any LSiM's Larry?

    Larry- got your pm. I'm definitely interested but there are so many logistical issues for me to make a 20hr 1500 mile road trip out to CO that I just don't know. I'll need to talk to the wife tomorrow and see what her work schedule looks like as well as line up some babysitting help if necessary. I'd like to talk to you via phone tomorrow if possible. Shoot me a PM with your # and good time to call. Do NOT hold these for me until after we talk and make some concrete plans. If anyone is interested, by all means step up to the plate and make an offer. You just might save me the cost of a divorce lawyer, lol. I'd be looking at a 3-5 day trip with 300-400 in gas costs, couple nights of hotel room ect... If anyone on the route from Johnson City TN to Denver CO would like to offer a spare bedroom for a night, let me know. If a man can't dream, he may as well stop living.

    No offense meant F1, but really part of the thrill of enjoying them for the next 5-20 years would be the story behind acquiring them. I'm thinking of taking a road trip with my dad whose getting older and frailer now in his late 60's and I've never really been out west. Been north to Minneapolis, south to the keys, and east to Europe- but only crossed over Mississippi river during a trip to Memphis 15 years ago when going due west (I realize I crossed it in IL when taking the Minnesota trip). I'd love to find a way to take 5 days and enjoy it while taking some photos and enjoying some BBQ in Kansas City.

    I am open to hearing others thoughts on how much it might cost to have someone like Craters and Freighters get it to my door from Denver. IF Toolfan was only 8hrs away, they'd already be at my place making sweet music. I'm really surprised they haven't sold to someone within a day trip already.

    Teekay where are you located? I should have definite answer by this evening....

    Larry- I've got to take my dad to hospital this morning for a scheduled surgery on his arm and will talk to him about making a road trip with me. It will probably be 2wks before he can help with the driving if he's interested in going. If not the wife is ok but would prefer if I had them shipped. Would like to discuss further this evening when I get back from getting my dad settled in at home and pain meds picked up at pharmacy for him...


    F1nut- Could you perhaps pm me some info on how I would go about talking to the shippers about how to price it based on size, weight, ect and this is only a possiblility if I could work that out with ToolFan66 obviously.

    Sorry so late, just now getting home after spending all day at hospital with my dad. Wife is ok with me making the trip and my dad is interested in going with me to pick them up, but he won't be able to drive for between 2-4 weeks. If necessary I can ship the 703's to you before making the trip to let you know I'm serious and appreciate you waiting till near end of April to pick up. Would really prefer to work out the details via phone call than email or PM's so either leave me a # to call you or call me up to midnight east coast time. I'm looking at either making the trip 4/20-23 or 4/27-29th. Let me know what would work better for your schedule.

    I didn't really back out... as much as Toolfan decided he needed cash instead of doing a trade. If you 2 (Teekay and gudnoyez) keep farting around for another week or two, I'm bound to find someone to buy my spare kidney and send the man a check with instructions to hold for me to pickup when I heal enough to drive across the country. :razz: I'm kidding a little, but am looking for some things to sell.

    Hell of a deal on these ultimate 1C's. Somebody should get these soon because normal unmodded ones usually bring his asking price.
