Connecting a pair of RTi10's to Outlaw 2200 monoblocks. I have higher end Monster with banana ends. Well the right one broke. So what do you guys recommend at a decent price? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Paul

Might want to consider this. I use it and am very happy with it. Pretty neutral yet is very detailed and won't mute the highs in your music.

Doug's cables are supposed to be great and highly recommended, or Signal Cable is great bang for the buck, Blue Jeans has great budget cables as well. All of those should be an upgrade for what you had.

Really?? You will not go wrong buying from Signal Cable. Affordable and performance far beyond the cost. Buy now and thank me and the other guys here who recommend them.

Just some speaker wire from Home Depot, why spend all your money on anything else, it's just wire, and will still put out sound just like anything else...

    +1

I've never had an opportunity to hear Blue Jeans Cables or Signal Cables, but I can speak with confidence recommending Doug's Furez Custom Cables. Great sound, exceptional build quality and I'm proud to own them. And he's a great guy.

Hello, Paul. At what price point are we talking about?

Anything Audioquest that fits your budget. I have found nothing on the market to perform or be built better then Audioquest at the given price points. I have experience with miles and miles of just about everything ever made and Audioquest is my go to wire company.
Out of all honestly Monstercable does not build a bad speaker cable. Even the entry level XP stuff from years ago had a pretty clean accurate sound to it. Some of the things monster cable did in their design tend to bring out certain things in the overall sound but I think most of that was by design.
Audioquest doesn't express anything , they try to get the signal correct as best as possible at the given price point or level of cables you purchase. They really pay attention to the finest details.

For your system I suggest checking out the Type 4 if your on a tight budget or the Rocket 33. Both cables are very accurate and super clear. If you can step up a bit the Go4's are awesome.

My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time.

If you have the time and patience, you can build your own cables. After all it's an easy termination and there's no magic behind it. Good bulk cable, good termination and you got yourself a good speaker cable.

Thanks for the tips guys. I currently have Monster Z's. My right is almost broken at the banana. I was looking a Blue Jeans. I also was looking at River Cables. Didn't even realize they are kind of in my back yard in Hudson NY. Was hoping to keep it around $200. I will look into Doug's cables. Thanks again. :)

I'm sure that those are very good interconnects. These have a lower pf @ 28/ft for $1.99/pr, and can be cut down to any length. Lots of good deals for interconnects. Not speaker wire, I know, but a good buy, none-the-less.

If that's what you're using in your system, you're selling your system, and movie experience, short.
This will be used in 2' lengths to connect pre/pro to amps only. A 250' roll of Belden 12/2 will take care of the speakers. My home office has about 12 large boxes... Amps, pre, speakers, everything. Theater in a boxes? (Thanks for the free delivery, Polk...much appreciated). I haven't unpacked anything (waf unpacked the oppo to watch br movies) or set anything up yet... I'm in your nick of the woods right now, N. Texas, can't wait to get home and begin the process. Have fun with the new cables, Psomers.

Another great recommendation!! Buy them and run them for a year and flip them and try another. You'll learn a lot and have fun in the process.

If you want to "dip" your toes in a bit on budget higher end cables, I'd recommend audioquest Type 4 or Kimber 4TC. With Rti10, I'd probably guess 4TC would be a better choice.
