    That is a sweet machine, how are the Dyn's working with her? I wasn't trying to be negative in my earlier posts just cautious because I had to purchase a new amp to run mine which I was not expecting. Whats funny as I trying to decide there was a sweet deal on an Ayon like yours but I wussed out.

    No problem, Ron. I agree that the C1 need proper amp to make it sing. I've tried the following:

    Musical Fidelity A308: a little to polite for the C1. The bass is there but not enough sparkles and the soundstage seem to be flat

    Mac MC275 with Telefunken 12au7 and Shuguang Black Treasure KT88: Excellent mid and high and 3d sound. Just lack a little bass to my taste

    The Ayon seems to offer mc275 sound with even sweeter high and much more powerful bass. I think it may even sound better when I have another quad of the Shuguang BT KT88 to try out.

    You wouldn't have any spare speaker stands you're not using, would you?

    ha ha...yeah saw those off to the side. Boy, that's one awesome amp but I sure wouldn't look forward to re-tubing it....or tube rolling for that matter...ha ha.....****, mines bad enough with 9 tubes.
