I find your post confusing. Are you saying you think they are new in the box?

FYI, I know exactly how those speakers were packed and those speakers are not NIB.

Hopefully, someone gets them for a hundred bucks.

They gotta be pretty nice if he is trying to pass them off as brand new.

Aren't these the same ones that used to have a BIN of "only" $1500 or so not only a couple days ago? I agree, not NIB...

Yea right, the MSRP IIRC in 1985 was $1000.00 and if I recall I payed around $1000 for my factory sealed SDA 2's in 1983.

Well one case in point is you have to buy used if you want SDA.

To me, the damage to the styrofoam says no way in H E double hockey sticks those are BNIB...more like used, in box, proceed with caution.

Personally, I'd never buy speakers used unless it was extenuating circumstances , however I have found a pair of SDA 1 speakers for sale...lightly pursuing them now.

Any idiot worth his salt can tell something from brand new from used, doesn't take a rocket scientist.

I know I know...lol but the only way I'd ever get to hear the SDA is to get my hands on a pair...like I said, I'm in light pursuance of a pair of SDA 1's...not sure if they are A, B or C...but the dude has the interconnect cable and wants around $200 CAD...might get em, give them a good listen then sell them off to the next guy in the line...

If you buy a pair of 1C's for $200 the only thing you will be selling is your RTi's

2 MWs were frozen or... ?
Replace the SL2000's with RDO's, problem with highs solved.

Dang, I was hoping you'd grab them. I will say that I haven't heard LSiM's but the SDA series, RTA-12's, and Monitor series are my favorite sounding Polks.

The MWs would move if pressed gently, just one on each tower was so scratchy and you could hear the scratching noise as they played. Honestly with the two blown MWs, hot hot highs (would of made the A7s sound tweeterless !) not even sure my 3490 would of been tame enough for them to calm down a touch or two. Just wasn't impressed is the sum of it.

The 1 series is my least favorite of all SDA's I have heard. They have never impressed me either, even when working properly. That said i would have snagged them for the $200 and flipped them pretty quick.
