The friend who wanted 2 A9s (order 1500) is not longer interested in Polk speakers after I told them the situation. So, Ken or any CS who is looking into my situation, please remove order 1500. However, the guys who wanted the A6 and A3 still want them as listed below.

Order 1419 - A6 to be shipped to Oakland, CA
Order 1418 - A3 to be shipped to SF, CA
Order 1187 - A3 to be shipped to Vegas, NV
Order 1044 - A6 to be shipped to Pflugerville, TX

A person could become an alcoholic by all the 'whine' in this thread.

VR3 made a reasoned suggestion in his response.
Polk appears to be treating you respectfully and with patience.

You were "lead to believe" yadda yadda.
Now you know the true situation.
A person of quality would at this point say, "Shoot ! I didn't know that ! Oh well, I'll call all my 'friends' and tell them that the Polk deal was limited to a restricted group. I didn't know that so sorry, we won't be getting any Polks".

What about this don't you comprehend ?
Are you capable of doing this ?

I called the CS late last week and they told me the same thing. I talked with my friends over the weekend. 2 of them weren't too happy of how Polk accused me reselling, when I was clearly trying to help them get a deal. So, those 2 friends told me to forget it and cancel the orders (the ones that I listed), but the rest still want theirs.

Why couldn't your friends order their own speakers? That would make a lot more sense. Something isn't right here. Your friends have no right to be mad at Polk because you couldn't order 6-7 pairs of speakers. They should have ordered them, themselves.

Again, why couldn't your friends order their own speakers since as you stated this was posted all over the internet?

Sorry, but the way you have explained it so far, something just doesn't add up?

As I understand, it part of the passage from childhood to adulthood involves being able to get "outside" of "yourself" and your wants and desires and to be able to look back upon "yourself" as "another" would see you.

If you read the responses in this post and "understand" them, you might still be able to make it.

so now we're questioning why people buy certain speakers?
FYI, some of them wanted A9s, A7s too..... well, not anymore, after I shared what Polk accused me of over the weekend. Read my first post.

Since the orders are not going to be filled the threat that your friends no longer want the speakers really has no merit. Something is seriously wrong with you, seek professional help.......quickly.

His "friends" should be irritated with him, not Polk. How's that conversation supposed to have gone? "Hey old buddy, I have a line on a really good deal on Polk speakers. It would be best to order them through me and then we'll ship them to you and you can just pay me, and you won't get a receipt, but don't worry about that, Polk's are really good speakers and you'll never need it anyway, and say what?, you just so happened to need a single speaker?, that's great, I'll order them and we'll settle up later, no don't worry, I will cover you until you get them, I will only have to float a couple thousand, yep, that's what friends are for, and I have a lot of them."

If he would supply his e-bay ID, we could more easily find his completed listings for these items.

I am astounded that folks here continue to humor this guy.

This looks like a duck, smells like a duck, quacks like a duck, ergo is a duck.

I can't say I blame the guy for trying to make a few quick bucks. That's what capitalism (love it or hate it) is all about.

But like many who gamble with their money and reputations, he came up short this time. You win some and you lose some.

I do think Polk should've anticipated the pace at which the original e-mail would've gone viral and, at the very least, included some sort of disclaimer saying that the 50% deals were not for resellers. Perhaps that was somewhere on the F&F site; I didn't see it. If it wasn't there it should've been.

I'm just glad I got notice of the sale when it was posted on this site. Although Polks are the only serious speaker I've ever owned, I probably shouldn't have been able to buy because I didn't get the original e-mail. But I'll confess I'm glad I got in on the action.

Why, the email was suppose to be sent to only certain people on a certain list that know it's not to be shared with the rest of the world.

I could buy the argument "I have an account so let me place the order for you know before supplies run out.
' If you ordered a complete set for your self and for a friend. Sometimes you do have to lower the friction when trying to convince them to upgrade. But then it doesn't change the fact that by definition you are reselling the speaker.

cool down man. instead of posting this in other audio forums and make a big scene out of it. By posting here first, I was just hoping someone in the Sales Department look into my orders and see what they can do.

F1 - NOTHING is secure or limited in its distribution on the Internet. The current NSA saga is evidence enough of that.
