I heard they were growing English Fuggles in Oregon I think. of course it will be different now. I use to use Hallertau, tettnang, willamette, cascades, wonder how each plant would look. so many new varieties nowadays.

#2 son walked in with a Troegs IPA - not sure which one specifically - but it was very tasty. Seemed high in alc, may have been an Imperial. Only had the one. I straightened him out on the house rules, hehe.

Chocolate porter from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I will rate this 7/10. Head retention was fairly poor and the chocolate was overwhelming, otherwise fairly decent stout.

Had an interesting beer from dog fish head. Had blueberries and rasberries in it. Expected it to be too sweet, but it was actually quite good. More tart than anything and the 10% bag got me there quick.

No. Sat at the bar in front of the growler filling station and had a couple flights.
It had a cafeteria/food court vibe to me.

Yeah, the setting belies the quality of the food; it is phenomenal. We've been for dinner twice and loved it each time. Best pork belly I've ever had, the charcuterie plate was impressive also. My bartender goes to brunch there every Sunday like it's his religion.

Was it the second from the left? I plan on putting a couple bottles of this down for a year or two.

Enjoying a cold bomber of Speak Easy's Bid Daddy IPA - hops and bold carbonation with a nice crisp finish.

I had that this weekend. Grabbed the Stone Variety pack. Still to this day, I am not a Saison kind of guy.

I rather like the Saison. Just finished mowing the lawn and poured this.

Stone's collaboration with Ecliptic Brewing out of Portland, Oregon and Wicked Weed Brewing from Asheville, NC.
Blending a Double IPA with a Belgian Tripel doesn't do it for me.

Don't know much about Ecliptic other than they collaborated with Dogfish Head on a beer that I haven't tracked down.
I visited Wicked Weed 2-3 years ago when I was in Asheville. They were fairly new and already gaining a reputation as a stellar brewery. Cool vibe there.

    Ayinger Oktober Fest-Marzen

A nice amber Oktober Fest-Marzen tastes real good, it's a little early for a fall Marzen but as fast as the summer is going what the heck.

I am drinking this years Goodlife Brewery's "Scottish Heart". It tastes different than last years and is not as sweet. It is still my favorite Scotish Ale I have had by a long shot. This year's is definately more of a nutty/malty flavor with less sweetness, but certainly not bitter. I highly recommend this one!

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

    Not Your Father's Root Beer

Had to see what all the hype was about $11 for a sixer they have been sold out at the store I go to for over a month. It's ok tastes like a A&W with a shot of Vodka to me it is being sold as beer. The wife likes them and is on her second one, me I'm switching to Linenkugles October fest.

Living in what's one of the hottest beer areas in the nation (Denver) has lead me to the following map that came out late last year.

    http://popchartlab.com/products/the-bountiful-breweries-of-the-united-states-of-america

The wife and I put it into the basement after framing it without glass and do stick pins to each place we visit. Unfortunately it's already "dated" with how many new spots are opening up here in Colorado alone but it's fun none the less. Especially for traveling, it helps us locate a few "must hits" when we go out at night.

Hitting a new spot called Beare here in Denver tonight.
