    Actually I said:
I would suggest if he can get the Crown or comparable

Notice the "or comparable". Nice try on quoting out of context. It's what people like you do when they are losing their argument.

Also there are other Sites where the Crown has some long discussion threads. It's true. I'm certainly not making any endorsement. If there were sites that had some long threads on the Tannoy I would gladly post it for the OP. There is one thread on the Crown XLS 402D at AVSForum that is almost 5000 posts long:eek: And the guy that started it is using Polk LSi 9's.

The great thing about GC is they carry from a bunch of different manufactures from $199 to $10,000 +.

Dude, you lost this discussion from the get-go, but hey keep digging, I'm sure China isn't far by now.

Oh yeah, since you brought it up, you are the liar.

Literally laugh out loud funny. Hey, I'm a walking endorsement for Usher, but even I have the sense to admit it.

The funny thing is finding people that make claims that they simply have zero ability (without editing when quoting) or chance of actually backing up.

F1 you are the liar. You're own feeble attempt in misquoting me just to fabricate I'm some sort of Crown fanboi is now on public display. The first step to getting out of a hole is to stop digging there Ace

The fact is I simply cross linked to another PF thread of an SDA user and an amp they are using. It did happen to be Crown. Funny enough that thread was locked due to the regulars here.

LOL. You guys can throw as much paint at a canvas as you want. A Picasso you aren't going to make

Can't even backup a single accusation. Pretty pathetic.

You guys blew up this thread, you blow up Emotiva threads, Cobramatteo's SDA SRS thread...

The fact that you are a pro amp fanboi is plastered all over this forum. The fact that you can't admit that, the fact that you can't admit it was you that went off topic with your unsolicited suggestion and the fact that you are the one without experience speaks volumes to your character.

Here's a suggestion for you. When you have 3 guys in a thread stating that you are the problem, you should take that to heart and the next time consider that fact before hitting the keyboard. Let me say it again, you are the problem.

Sorry, I got side tracked by Monk's nonsense. That's interesting to say the least, I was betting the other way around. I'm not seeing anything special about the Tannoy. I'd say the seller is trying to ride the coat tails of the name they made for themselves with their speakers.

All one has to do is look at the source(s). More signal less noise boys. The only thing looking Pro-Audio is the Tannoy. It's from around 1984, it's most likely from their pro-audio side of things and a A/B class amp. Nothing special about it and if paying more than $300 the OP is getting ripped off.

Honestly the Adcom 5500 is probably worth $350 (I've seen the 5503 in pristine shape sell for $350-400) and the Tannoy about half that.

Your notion of a suggested alternate given the OP's likely budget is just pretentious whining.

Taste is subjective, I know that. A good friend of mine, who's opinion I respectable great deal has demo'd both amps and said "The Tannoy is what the Adcom dreams to be."

But, like I said, it's all about synergy. And he is running a pair of Amazing Silvers which are a lot different from my SDA's. I do believe in he Tannoy has been recapped as well. But, for the price of the Tannoy, I could buy 2 5500,s. (the photo I posted of the Tannoy guts was a Web photo and not this uniit)

$600-800? Way too much. If that is your budget there is plenty of Parasound, Adcom, Rotel, etc for that.

While I like adcom and have owned a few of their amps, I find them a bit hot on the high end. I imagine the Tannoy is a bit smoother on top but, I would think the adcom has better bass control vs the tannoy just from the age and design. I could be wrong though since i havent heard the tannoy.

I realize this may come as a shock to you because of your inexperience, but there's more to a good amp than that.

It's YOU'RE as in YOU ARE.

    Sorry, it's your composition that is terrible. You should have composed your response as follows;

"All one has to do is look at the source(s). More signal less noise boys.

By separating your comments with a new paragragh instead of running them into each other you could have conveyed that your first sentence was a different topic. It's basic English 101, junior and YOU'RE still the problem.

BTW, there's nothing pro audio looking about the Tannoy amp. Your lack of experience is showing again.

I'll go with the slight grammatical error. That can be fixed. While your inability to actually read and comprehend is fortunately on public display.

The fact that you guys are encouraging a ~30 year old or slightly younger amp at most likely $600-800 tells everyone here what they need to know.

More deflection. Why is it so hard for you to admit you are the problem and seemingly can't be fixed.

Wow, talk about reading comprehension problems, you take the cake. Where did I suggest (since you grouped everyone together) to the OP that he buy the Tannoy? Oh that's right, I didn't.

YOU'RE still the problem, always have been.

I was going to interject and point out that the OP hasn't even mentioned the actual price and Monk(ey) is only speculating at a price...

But he really is doing a fantastic job of indicting himself.

For the record, the link above was a simple single content type search using the keywords Crown and Yamaha and the user name Habanero Monk. The returns are a disturbingly large portion of his posts that interject these unsolicited options into threads over and over.

And calling people liars for calling him out on it...the forum equivalent of, "Nana nana boo boo, stick your head in doo doo." Habanero Monk...keepin' it classy!

It's neither when it is true. Your legal knowledge is only rivaled by your audio knowledge. It isn't my fault that you are wrong.
Technically, most if what you have posted in this thread against other members could be considered both.

You still haven't backed up your original claim. More walk and less talk if you please. I Googled 'ZLTFUL + Ducati'. I can see how their ban on you is permanent. They seem a bit more lenient here when it came to your most recent.

LOL, the funny part is the Ducati Monster List lost all of its members to the Ducati Monster Forum. You'll notice that I am plenty active there to this day.
Screen name there is ZILBERT (Now who's got the bromance going there?) The old forum is about as worthless as your posts and you may want to note that everyone that joined prior to 2007 was banned. Nice try though. It's obvious that you really are grasping there kid.

But since you insist on me proving you wrong over and over and over, ad infinitum, check back tomorrow morning for your latest textual beat down.

Maybe you should post up the full results of your search instead of the single solitary negative you could dredge up.

Again, neither if it is true.
Here you tout both your Yamaha and the Crown:
    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?147186-Don-t-overlook-the-Crown-XLS-Series-for-powering-big-SDAs-!&highlight=yamaha

Pretty sure a whole thread dedicated to the topic could be considered "touting":
    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?147624-Pro-Audio-Amps-that-have-worked-for-you-(when-budget-is-and-used-aren-t-options)&highlight=yamaha

    Hey look...another example:
    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?148270-pro-power-amp-on-a-HT&highlight=yamaha

You even managed to drag an Emotiva thread down...and that is saying a LOT:
    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?148717-Why-not-Emotiva&highlight=yamaha

I can do this all day long:
    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?151083-Amp-s-recommended-for-A9-s&highlight=yamaha

So, would you care to retract your libelous statements where you called F1nut and I liars? Because the evidence above shows quite the contrary.
