Yes. Pics or it never happened. Great advice on stripping the speaker down before doing this work, I should have thought to tell you that. Heat guns and tweeters don't mix well!
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

well I stripped them down with the speakers and everything still in but I dont think I overheated the tweeters or the drivers as the gun was never pointed at them at all. I will post pictures here soon. I don't have any drivers or those new upgraded tweeters. I just ahve all the original parts. What would I need to do to upgrade the tweeters? I need some help on what to do now? do I need to replace all the speakers or just the one that scratches when you manually push it in?

The way they have been pressed in, I would do them all.

I know you said you are strapped for cash.
Of course I know people that make 30k a year and whine so
So the first thing would be only the driver(s) that are defective
and if you will look there is information on fixing that one, I posted a couple links.

It's not what you make, it's what you save.
One of my friends works for a finance group and makes over 150K per year but he spends like hell and is not better off than those who make half.

So after a long wait I bring you the remaking of the speakers. Sorry it took so long to post the new update. I have been super side tracked with working and life in general.

Also.... HUGE thanks to pitdogg2 in giving me a little something special (Interconnect cable)

Oh and the receiver is what I have been powering the speakers with. For some reason, I feel like with the interconnect cable, the speakers sound different in a big way but I am not sure if it sounds better? Could just be me adjusting to them.

I am currently waiting on getting some veneer to redo the cabinets and then I am doing to reshape the legs and make my own legs at my fathers metal fabrication shop.

Question about adding veneer, is it better to get it with PSA on it or is it better to get it and glue it on with contact cement?

Without the cable, you aren't getting the SDA effect. So with/without should sound different. The SDA effect is different and not everyone likes it. Your ears, your choice. Bear in mind that positioning is EVERYTHING too.

Get paper backed veneer and either use contact or heat activated.
