    CuO, or copper oxide is NOT a semi-conductor material. Sorry to inform you.

    Just to get back to the science or resistance or resistivity of metals I thought I would give you the simple data.

    Metal Resistivity(micro-ohm-cm)
    Cu 1.60
    Ag 1.47
    Au 2.44
    Fe 8.85
    Pt 9.83

    As anyone can see silver, Au, has the lowest resistivity by a very small amount. However, a thicker gauge Cu wire will have less resistance than Au wire. SO, if you want to lower the resistance in your speaker wire or whatever else you have, the cheapest way is to use thicker gauge Cu.

    For further clarification:

    Resistance=Resistivity times Length of wire divided by cross sectional area of the conductor.

    Micro = 0.000001

    Hope this helps

    Peace

    Rhodium is a silver-white metallic element, is highly resistant to corrosion, and is extremely reflective.

    It is used as a finish for jewelry, mirrors, and search lights. It is also used in electric connections and is alloyed with platinum for aircraft turbine engines.

    Another use is manufacturing of nitric acid and used in hydrogenation of organic compounds.

    Rhodium usage is dominated by autocatalyst applications where it is used together with platinum and palladium to control exhaust emissions
