Precisely the point. It's not our web site. And I think there is a pretty steep learning curve ahead for many

I must be unaware of the new rules?
    Enlighten me?

No pics of women in bikini's?
Something you can see at any public pool or beach?
    Am I wrong?

Never read a word about it in the rules?

Brett - those guys are a little short on the manhood, must be the steroids. If you're going to post things like that at least get a good'ol country boy with manhood that would make a stud stallion jealous. Well maybe they both had sex change operations and that was all they could afford. I guess inch for inch maybe the breast enhancements are cheaper. I usually wouldn't wonder about these things but Club Polk always tends to get me to think outside the box :frown:

Go ahead and do something to get banned, Steve, and I'll start a "gudnoyez banned??" thread to see how many posts you get. It's sort of a guage like how many people would attend your funeral. Although only a temporary death - I hope - here!

You know....Mike is a long time, highly respected member as is Brett and I consider both friends. How about you leave them to sort things out their own way.

The irony of your comments, one could say the exact same thing about Brett. In fact, he and I did a little PM'ing earlier. One thing I mentioned was that I expected him to show up in this thread with his guy pics. He didn't disappoint....LOL

In closing, maybe you don't have as good a handle on things as you think.

It's true ! That is where puppies come from ! Just a second, a noise outside ....

    a cat bath.jpeg

....as I was saying, the fact is that's where puppies come from. It would be kind of hard to be offended by that fact.

    a offended cat.jpg

Of course, there are exceptions.
But Jr., you have to learn to live and let live, roll with the punches, have a sense of humor, and realize it's all good if you let it. For example

    a cat brettz.jpg

Now, see, that's funny. Kind of. Not bad for 1 in the morning kind of funny. Now the unnamed CP'er very stealthfully semi-referred to in that pic might find it somewhat humorous. Hope so, but the main thing is .... I'm entertaining myself in high fashion and we must not let anything interfere with that .:loneranger:
And if anyone is offended by that, well, my apologies. But I can't help but think what a wise man once said. It may have been Plato, but it might have been Bluto.

    a cat rubs.jpg

Yeah, I think it was Bluto.

DISCLAIMER: the "offended" cat pic was not referring to Ms. Cfrizz who is a valued member of CP straight up. Wanted to be sure to mention that. That pic was referring to people in general who are overly sensitive, IMO.

Guy pics? Is your buddy Mike inclined to prefer guy pics over pics of any other nature? Regardless, I see the time taken to show up long enough to stab and then retreat back to the wonderful world of washed vinyl, all while being held in "high respect", as a bit (th)ickheaded. Running ones mouth 13 thousand times is hardly cause for respect but I will concede to a 30% participation rate for actual and pertinent comment, which I am certain will become some sort of measure in which to rebut my statement. I do not assume to have a handle on anything, I simply react to what I see and how I see it. You of all people should be very familiar with curt and concise interpretation of what is written in front of you in text. Are you suggesting that a primal and fourth-write reaction to the situation at hand is not acceptable? Surely you jest. With the factual and emotionless responses you make I am sure you cannot deny the proclivities of others. Until the topic returns to audio, or the debatable measure there of, then the conversation is not more than banter or conjecture. Is your view any more relevant than mine when it comes to simple interaction? I think not. We are all human here. Many are more experienced at audio than I but that in no way shape or form leaves my view of common interaction less applicable than yours, or theirs, regardless of ones own defined self worth. I get it... no one wants their apple cart upset but you know what, Jesse, life goes on. If you don't like it then I might suggest you leave the settlement of the same to the participants rather than coming to the rescue of your proclaimed "highly respected" member, after such a rebuke. LOL A highly respected member... I would have to agree on the member part.

Don't get me wrong, you, Brock and a few others have a very respected place in my audio journey. But do not assume that means when some one is being a dick, I wont be a **** by reacting in kind.

    Cheers, Dan

No one in the history of any forum has ever been more accurate towards any posting. If we cannot entertain and laugh at ourselves what is the point?

Rock on Mr Bluelight. I do hope the blue light in which you refer is not on of those in the dusky basement strip clubs in Las Vegas. That would be uncivilized LOL.

I, for one, can't wait for all of those who got the ban to be reinstated. Then we can move forward from this 7 page thread to a longer one welcoming them back and explaining to the world why they were unjustly treated. Fact is you break the rules and you are subject to banning. Some might skate, but eventually it catches up. Ever heard of the word "accountability". Take it like a man when you get caught and admit that you screwed up. Until then keep pushing the limits if you so choose. Or respect the forum (and its members) enough to not do so. It really IS that simple.

    Not an Elks Lodge?

I went to my grandparent's Elks Lodge once...

    Know what I found?
Old women upstairs playing bridge and bitching about old men.
Downstairs at the bar, the old men were watching the <insert sports game of choice> game and bitching about old women.

This place is EXACTLY like that Elks Lodge.

Well theoretically, they cant exactly speak for themselves yet because they are still on time out. But, wait for it; it's coming........along with the bitching and moaning about how this place has changed and that it just isn't worth participating anymore. A few will say good-bye and then take the first pot shot they can get at anyone who has gone against "man code" in the Polk forum. This stuff ebbs and flows. Again, accountability, common decency and a little respect seem to have gone by the wayside these days. It becomes personal attacks and keyboard muscle flexing. Those two topics especially incite the reactions so Polk has made it off limits. The sooner we all accept our roles here and get back to enjoying audio, helping each other out and talking about things that ARE NOT against the rules, the sooner we can all start enjoying the camraderie that this place offers. Until then, it will be yet another pissing contest where the cliques gather their troops and pitchforks looking to take down anyone who disagrees with them.

Over 190 posts on this? Really?

Everyone "banned" will be back in no time. Polk can do as it wishes! I don't see that this much discussion is warranted here. Everyone of "us" has stepped over the "line" once or twice; there but for the Grace of "Polk" go "I".

When I step in something I know what I've done instantly, and I walk away for a day or two. When I come back, things have usually died down and the storm is over. You just have to know when to stop, inhale a few times and take a break. As mentioned above, we're "adults", adults "disagree, and that's OK. But there is no need to have the FINAL word unless you're disturbed. It's just an audio forum dudes! We're not engaged in some Presidential debate the outcome of which determines the "fate" of our nation. lol

Learn to laugh at yourself, what you believe and realize that we're here as a "community" not crusaders trying to save the very soul of our nation--because psychoanalysts refer to that as Inflation.
