    Al - Great review, thanks so much for particpating. The SCA2's smooth out after some break in, at least that is my experience. I also noticed some sibilance, but only on certain recordings. The MIT's have been the only cable that have been a completely perfect performer.

    The SCA2's are brand new, perhaps it will even out later in the demo process.

    I also have the Diamondback's and they definetly show some sibilance. I think it has more to do with the recording than the gear, IMO. I know that F1 had some troubling sibilance also, but never really found the cause. He bought a entirely new front end, and naturally it is gone, so who knows.

    ATC - If you find out how many would be interested, I think the power cable demo could start at any time. DCarlson has offered his SC Magic Power, but that is if he has upgraded yet. If he has not swapped the new ones in, I will work on getting a Power Cable for demo.

    DCarlson - You still running it?

    Hey guys,

    The cables arived today in great condition, I know they were alittle late in getting to me as the recent snow fall did not allow the postal service to get into the road we live on. This was certainly no ones fault, cept maybe the snow's lol. As soon as permits me to really sit down and get things hooked up for a listening session, I will give these cables a good listening to and report back my observations.

    Hey, if there is anyone else that is interested in the program, just sign up! Send me an email, and a pair of cables will be mailed to you free of charge, for your own, personal demo. The only charge is the cost of mailing them to the next Polk forum member.

    If you have cable doubts, please sign up and audition them, its painless and free of outside interference. The demo is your own, and whether good, bad or neutral, makes no difference.....its for you and our forum.

    I agree with you 100%. It allowed me to demo a pair of cables I would never have been exposed to otherwise. Great idea for the demo.

    Yes, if anyone here is interested in trying them out without having to plunk down the money to purchase them.. do sign up. It's lots of fun trying something new and different.

    If anyone has doubts as to whether interconnects make a difference or not in your system.. just give them a try.. and believe me.. you will hear some difference.

    PJ - Thank you very much for the compliment. I thought that this would be a great idea, based on the success of the Audio Karma Program. It gives all user types the ability, like you said, to try something out. We may even get a really high end cable in here sometime. I couldn't do it without the support from Frank(SC) and Paul(ODV), both of which have really been a pleasure to deal with.

    In addition, Frank has went above and beyond, to include his support of the Texas Polk Gathering. SC made a huge showing there, and some lucky individuals left with some Signal Cable goodies.

    Just an update to let you all know where I stand on demo'ing the Signal Cables. Im still in demo mode, should complete toward the end of this week. I was delayed somewhat in getting started on the demo, after aquireing a gig of Kingston HyperX PC4000 500 MHz ram and installing in my comp. I've wound up haveing to do alot of memory timing tweaking to get my sysyem stable again. But things are up and running again, so I should have things wrap'd up late this week. My thanks again, go out to Mark for this chance to demo some awesome cables I would have otherwise not gotten a chance to hear. Thanks Mark!

    Anthony - I think this will be real cool, you will have two sets showing up at your door for demo. I know you will conduct a real cool demo, just get some help so you can do it as blind as possible.

    FYI for everyone:

    Signal Cable offers 5% off every cable he manufacters in-house. This includes speaker, video, power and audio interconnects. SC can terminate custom lengths, and if he doesn't carry it, he knows someone who does. Frank is a long standing supporter of the Polk forum.

    It will be a 15Amp IEC...standard type power cable.

    The brand has not been determined, as aside from SC, not many are interested in this idea. It has been out-of-pocket thus far, but that is something I knew from the start.

    I want to provide a cable, period. I also want to provide a modest price bracket offering, making the possible upgrade more appealing to the common man. I am a common man.

    I would love to offer a PS Audio Statement, but the loss potential and cost are too high. In addition, I think at some point you have diminishing returns on ALL cables when you get too high.

    ANYWAYS! I am working hard on making this happen.
