The website specs I already had, just never got around to it. If you have some specifics, all the better.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I will get the real stuff.
Web site spec's were cut and paste by site builder, so data is not always right correct for cable (funny thing, nobody has caught it yet but me).
Had same problem with early packages (S/Video went out with listing of 2 RCA cables in package) and the data sheet went through my hands twice without me catching it. Did not even notice untill product had been out 6 months.
    You know stuff happens.

    Thank You

    Mark,

I'm really intersted in component video cables to demo. Am I asking to much with that request? S-video would be awesome too. but if it's out of the question. I understand.

    thanks, al

    Boltaction,

    You got PM.

BTW I didn't even undo the wire ties to this Anti Speaker Cables. I just couldn't even bring myself to try those, can I say too Anti Tech. I could have gone to Home Depot buy some 12/2 strip back the outer casing soldered on some connections and called it a day.

    Doro,

If you see my A$$ signing up for anything super low tech, please remove me for that list. Then proceed to **** slap me, thank you.

Boltaction, Please disregard my commits and have fun with these cables. You being a Monster cable user, it maybe an improvement who knows.

How about if I sign up for Kingcobra (Audioquest) RCA cables instead? I use audio editing software at home so I can see in numbers the sound difference, not to mention my RCA wires are 15 feet long and are twice as bad as radioshack brand!

Hey joe...(where ya goin with that gun in your hand)?

    sorry....a little jimmy slipped out...

Ah, but Jimi was one of the last to record that song.

"The origins of Hey Joe are unclear. Most attribute the writing credits to Billy Roberts, either as the writer of the original song, or as someone who adapted a folk ballad, or as someone who heard a melody and changed the words. Billy Roberts was a West Coast songwriter. Through whatever means -- most likely an outright sale of the rights -- Dino Valenti began collecting royalties on Hey Joe. Valenti listed various names on songwriting credits, including Chester Powers, Chet Powers, and Jesse Oris Farrow. "
"Over the years Hey Joe has been recorded by hundreds of artists, some of them well-known, some of them not. Among them are Tim Rose, The Leaves, The Byrds, The Surfaris, Love, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Johnny Rivers, the Standells, the Music Machine, Billy Preston, Cher, Wilson Pickett, Bad Company, Deep Purple, and Los Lobos. The best remembered versions of Hey Joe are the second Mira recording by the Leaves, and of course, that done by Jimi Hendrix."

How about this: I will be grateful to have the chance to demo anything, honestly. I have always doubted spending $100 on wires would have any difference and I want to be proven wrong. If you already spent time getting my name up for the speaker wires, I will gladly demo them. I thought about my weakest link and when I was cleaning up a few nights ago I realised just how poor quality my RCA cables are. Either way, I am grateful for the chance to try high quality wiring.

    Bolt,

I only see you signed up for the Anti Speaker Cables, nothing else. I need your address so I can pass them off to you if you still want these. For the record have hooked them up it seem to me that male signing voice comes up short / no life / dead. I don't care for them, but they work. If you like to check out any RCA interconnects, I have checked out the Diamondbacks (very nice, so nice I brought a pair myself), Copperheads, or the Ethereal cables. I think these are all in the price range you quoted earlier.

Address sent. I will write a review when I am finished as well. Let's see if they can beat my generic bottom of the line Monsters. :)

I recieved them today. Thank you. Surprisingly thin.... I'm not sure how to interpret them. I am purposely not getting any information on them so I can listen with only the most open mind.

Why? All cables sound the same, right? Actually, these are fairly robust, they might literally bend the posts on your grunt Onkyo.

Nothin' but love from me brother Russ. :)

My thread, which has spurred your comments, is about interconnects.

Also, to quote myself, from my first post of that thread, "I'm frustrated, but it is STILL fun to try different cables."

    Test setup:

Pioneer D-10 Turntable with direct RCA
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum output, using WinAmp and the 192khz upsampling plug-in.

    Equipment:
    Yamaha CR-640 Reciever, tuned
    Polk Monitor 5Jr+
    Monster generic audio cable
Monster insulated RCA (6 feet), set away from all sources of interference
    Anti-Cable cable wiring

    First impressions:
Upon arriving home, I was surprised to find a box sitting in front of my house. Excitedly, I brought them into my sound room and opened them up. I was... well, slightly letdown. These wires do not look special, but the paper included describes to me that these are not typical wires. They are pure continually cast copper with a thin surrounding of a red plastic coating. I decided to purposely not research them to help keep my opinion of the product as neutral as possible.

First listen was connected to the secondary outputs on my reciever, and I started the impressions by knowing which cables I was listening to. I began with Tom Waits - Mule Variations. With its gravelly lyrics and clanging instruments, I wanted to get a impression for the midrange seperation. I used dual formats: 320K LAME 3.92 Mp3 upsampled to 192khz and excellent condition vinyl.

I thought the Anti cable's did a better job of presenting higher midrange than my Monster cables immediately, and noticed the high octave pings of Tom hitting a steel pipe in the track "What's he building in there?" really flowed into the room with distinct realism. This was better presented digitally, although the vinyl was very well done as well.

After initial listening, I switched back to monster and re-listened after giving my ers a 20 minute break. Surprisingly, the monster cables did not sound horrible at all and were quite enjoyable.

Afterwards, I directed my audio system towards Dave Matthews Band - Under the table and dreaming. This was presented in 192Khz LAME 3.90 and original audio CD. The instrumental complexity creates a difficult album to properly present using substandard equipment, especially during vocal segments.

Comparing audio formats, the 192khz rip lacked presence but had clarity. Although I compared both formats, I swayed towards the Audio CD version.
Once again, I heard a subtle difference between the cables. This was very subtle, mind you. We are talking light presence difference.

Because my audio equipment is not top of the line, I may be limited by my physical hardware.

Blind testing produced indistinguishable comparison! This was attempted multiple times.
