The participation and support is amazing! I can't thank you enough for the generosity.

It has been brought to my attention that I may have left an L out of my own email for those that sent prior to the establishment of the Kevinzardoss23tl@yahoo.com Paypal account. If you donated to stuckinillinois or any variation thereof ...ehhem:redface:, please check for a completed transaction. If it has not been completed please cancel and donate to the account above.

Thanks so much for the support, Dan

Kevin this place has gotten me through bad times as well. I have made some really good friends through here even if we only get together once a year at PF but the community here is 2nd to none. I hope you stick around and I hope that everything goes well for you and your wife. I know what it is like having to sell everything. I have had to do it myself but it will get better.

Thanks once again guys! I got about 3 hrs of sleep dreading today. The doctor is pretty sure I will live through this even if this is cancer. However surgery to remove it is still very much a possibility. I go in Friday for another series of CT's with and without contrast dye to find out for sure, if there is any doubt it is benign they will remove it. Much better prognosis than at the ER.
I am the kind of guy that plans for the worst rather than hopes for the best. I have decided to stay and lurk for a while but all this (with my wifes troubles also) has really put thing in perspective for me and shown me what is really important in life and I want to take some time and make some life changes for the better.
Thanks again to you all, especiallyly SDA1C, you guys are the best!

We are really doing well folks. But I know we can do better. 5, 10, 20, 50. I know we can make a push and give Kevin a good chunk of his deductible.

I got a call today from the place doing the other series of CT's for "preregistration" and the part insurance will not pay is $910 that they wanted immediately. I eventually talked them into a one time pass and they will bill me. I really don't know if we will need this or not yet as long as they're willing to bill me latter. We are going to go talk to a bankruptcy lawyer soon and talk about our options. Thanks again for everything guys.

Remember, and from your post I know you are already aware, they are like dentists, it never stops, they will find something for the money.
That said, I worked for Pepsico for 10 year that has 51% controlling interest in United Healthcare.
Can you guess who our insurance provider was?

$1000/ deductible, and no surprise ZERO discount on insurance!

What a great company to work for, I NEVER met my yearly $1000 deductible (and still had to pay $40/wk single) so everytime I went to the doctor, it was $200 out of pocket.
Scam to say the least, the doctor comes in asks 5 questions and it cost $200!

Hope it all works out man, it adds up QUICK!
    Ridiculous system we have!

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Due to the urgent nature of the situation, I am going to mail Kevin the incoming checks along with a personal check in the amount of the Paypal account, next Friday, Feb 15.

For those mailing their donations, Thanks! Please do so such that it arrives prior to that date. Any donations after that time will certainly be mailed to Kevin but lets try to have them all here by next Thursday if at all possible.

Thanks for all the support folks. What a great gesture we are sending to one of our valued members.

Donations humbly received at Kevinzardoss23tl@yahoo.com via paypal or PM for check endorsement information and mailing address if you prefer.

I'll post the total in Paypal around 9 pm central.

I cannot accurately state the combined total as all of the checks have not arrived. I was waiting to hit a certain goal before divulging the amount collected but I am confident that we will be very close to that goal by 9 tonight.

You folks are amazing! We are sending Kevin $500 today. What a great group of friends he has. Thanks for your continuing support.

There is still time to send a check or PP for those still wanting to donate. Teaser-No checks are included in this number and this is not the entire balance of PP.

Please give me a ring when you get a chance Kevin.

    Thanks, Dan

I agree completely, I really don't know what to say except for thank you to everyone that contributed. I went in for my CT's yesterday and will get the results back early next week. Thanks again everyone and a big thanks to Dan.

Anyone wanting to send their donation to Kevin can call and get his addy from him.

The Paypal total was $340 bucks. I sent a round 5 hun. In between sending and going back to close the PP account another 20 hit it. There's the totals for those interested. It would seem things are under control. I will be sending the checks back to the senders unopened so the total of those is anyone's guess.

    Cheers, Dan

Jesus effing Christ. I just got on here to tell everyone that it is not cancer and I should not be concerned with the cyst. But I do have a condition that is causing me to have an abundance of kidney stones, I just passed another one yesterday. Brian was not going to have all the money until the beginning of March so he gave me 460 and his speakers so I could sell those That was all he could do, I figured selling a set of 4-5 hundred dollar speakers would be easier than a set of 8-9 hundred dollar speakers. here is the listing http://fortcollins.craigslist.org/ele/3610735296.html I was going to post them here and offer them to forum members for $400. I just worked a 12 hr shift to try and make up lost wages and was going to post them here when I got home. Then I come home to this. Does anyone want a list of all the other stuff I have for sale and other stuff I have sold? So far we are in the hole about $3,700 for my wife and me that the insurance will not cover of which I have sold about $700. I never asked for any of this, but for all of those that did give I greatly appreciate it. I was going to go out and take my wife to the Applebees 2-$20 and celebrate not having cancer unless anyone objects?

    Cool,

You absolutely DID NOT ask for any of this Kevin.
We did this because you were in a bind, nothing more, nothing less.
Could not be happier that it was NOT cancer!
    Excellent news!

I can assure this thread would not be around, if we did not feel comfortable helping you out, we did what we could do to help, nothing more, family........
    Simple.

Hope all goes well with the wife:biggrin:.
    Congrats!

    Dan,

I think you are jumping the gun here. What you put together was awesome in everyway and very helpful and still is. You did a great thing and I'm sure everyone would agree.

I'm asking you to not put a dark cloud over something that is very helpful. Not like Kevin is taking the money and spending it on drugs it is going to his bills..

    Peace..

Agreed and nothing was done to tant that help, and he has done nothing but what he needs to do ( as any man would do ) and take care of his situation the best he can. Even if that means to trade his speakers for cash and sell the other ones as well.

When I sell stuff I pretty much give it away also.
Just because I am dealing with Polikies.
I could get ALOT more for my stuff (cables for instance) if I sell on Audiogon.
Sure it costs more to sell there, but I basically GIVE THEM AWAY here because I know its going to people who appreciate it, and they are members of CP.
