that will not be safe today with the nearly 50 MPH winds coming up... we need to be respectful of each others point of views and differing ways....
as i do enjoy running my smoker in the summer, please accept that i do understand the value of a good wood fire and wood smoke, but that there are practical issues at play here.

You know whats funny is that there is probably a microwave enthusiast community out there and theyve had this exact same conversation. I mean if there are enthusiast groups for walking and cross stitching, why not microwaves? We're probably pissing a lot or people off right now making fun of their hobby.

Certainly some microwaves must operate on different frequencies, giving some the upper hand in penetration of different packaging material and speed. A hi-fi version of the microwave so to speak. Maybe a tube powered microwave is in your future.

Two words: Jiffy Pop. Did you know that Jiffy Pop originated with the Vikings ?

It has been a little slow lately. I think that's due to a number of "old timers" and Polk officials who attended the CES convention in Vegas are having a hard time making bail. They were warned not to wander over to the AVN convention.

You'll double the power output going with 18/1. That way it has to use all the power going into it thus doubling output.

well that won't work. you are gonna need an external microwave to pop the corn while the other one melts the butter. can you still return?

no need to panic, you can melt the butter still with that setup, you just have to set it on the heat vent on top of the microwave, you may have to run that sucker at full power to get the output desired, but i guarantee you that butter will puddle up real good

I cannot belive that in all this very penetrating analysis of "popcorning" that nobody has mentioned that there is really only one popcorn for true aficionados -- Black Jewel!

I defy anyone to come up with a better source for the true popcorn experience -- regardless of the popping technique, equipment (including the PC), or condiments applied (butter, coconut oil, margarine; kosher salt, sea salt, good ple Morton's popcorn salt).

Off to the movies for some freshly popped popcorn!

but i don't think it will be the proper viscosity as you would attain with the external microwave. but that's just my humble opinion. once again, i am relying on a lot of written data...
