Camaro tail lights?

Hood vent, side vents, rear vents, brake vents, etc.?

Standard manual transmission with no visible e-brake? (Assuming it's electronic or floor-mounted)

Climate controls with the temperature displayed inside the knob?

Ricer look?

Everything else I like... this is one odd car...

That car is bad **** and I want it!! I can see my self trading in my Camaro for it...

On the Camaro and Corvette forums some people are talking about how the tail lights look like the Camaro.. I think the Camaro's rear end was taken from the Corvette styling in the first place..

Again I think the new Stingray is smoking hott looking..

Don't get me wrong, I like the car. But I can't imagine having a standard transmission and not having the e-brake right next to the shifter. I'm thinking it's either going to be like a minivan (floor mounted) or electronic (switch activated).

I've never driven a stick shift where the e-brake wasn't in the center console.

Not me... Every line on this car was lifted from something else. GTR, Panamera, 599... every major player in the performance car market is represented in this design, including the yet to be released Jag F-type. I will reserve my judgement until I see it in person, but this thing looks hideous in photographs. Bill Mitchell and Harley Earl are spinning in their graves for sure over this one.

But that's what you get when your cars are designed by senate subcommittees at GM.gov/vehicles

I'd prefer the more traditional roundish tail lights but the rest is very nice.

I totally agree! Where else can you get this much bang for the buck like you can with this car?

I'm still deciding how I feel about it, definitely would like to see one in person. I've owned a C6 and currently have a C5, but am not wanting to upgrade as bad as I thought I would once it was released. On the bright side whether you like it or not, the C6 Z06 will be cheaper and easier to find now:twisted:

I think those sideboards belong on a truck not a sports car.

This car is ugly, it may be a great bang for the buck but it is butt ugly and easily the worst Corvette design of all time.

I say this as a lifelong Corvette enthusiast that's owned several Corvettes over the years (actually more than several).

The car is a huge styling failure to me, it's waaaay too busy and has too many sharp angles and don't even ask me about the rear of the car. lol

The exterior is fine. A little overkill IMO, but it's still a great looking car.

Interior-wise, I don't know why they decided to put that handle right where the dual cup holders used to be, seems like a downgrade from the C5 / C6 interior design. Climate controls are harder to access (especially the passenger side) and forget about the touch screen radio (Too many button presses, menus, and options to go through). But I guess all modern cars are like this now. Lots of buttons on the steering wheel, lots of LCD screens and technology. Oh well, guess everything's going to be like an iPad now.

Well if that's what you can afford go for it !!! I can't so I don't bother looking at comparing the two.. I will take the Vette, more in my price range!!

Unless someone creates a car themself they're always going to find things he or she might have done different. Sure it's not perfect and I would've done some things different to fit my personal taste but I think they did a great job creating a car that should appeal to many.

Don't think you could buy a Ferrari for the price of this vette.

This^^^^ and I'm sure he is not out shopping for that Ferrari. Putting the two in the same sentence makes no sense..

my only thought is the vette is very reminiscent of the F-12 . there is nothing wrong with comparing design, and putting the two in the same sentence was only an exercise in comparing design, not comparing price, performance, or whether i am buying either one. people compare things all the time.
but i haven't really cared for many corvettes for the last couple of decades. just my humble opinion....

The current line of vettes are very nice. Bang for the buck is over the top. I went to
a dealer who specialized in cherry looking used vettes. $30-35K could of gotten me a very nice car.
It's one of the few GM cars I'd buy. This one has just a few too many lines going on.
I'm sure they'll tweak it a bit over the next few years.

I've liked the looks of just about every Corvette to date, but this one doesn't really look like a Corvette.

If I was going to buy a sports care , the Nissan GTR was the only one on my list. This Chevy makes a strong case to be placed on that list. That is by far the baddest **** looking Vette to date. WOW they really did a great job putting that together.

The tail lights fit the design , actually nothing looks out of place. I'm no hardcore Vette fan so I don't have pet peeves.

I think the rear is odd, too. The rear window seems really odd, to me. I'm sure it would be a blast to drive regardless.
