Doesn't matter who makes it if it doesn't sound good and since you're doing nothing more than strirring the pot, I'll respond in kind. My ears don't like Yamaha or Rotel gear either.

According to you your ears also dislike B&W speakers. So let's seen now...your ears dislike both Emo gear & speakers from one of the most well respected manufactures in the world...hmmmm. Interesting observations.
I can't blame him for disliking B&W speakers. They beam in the upper midrange and their highs are ragged and have too much "bloom" at the bottom of it's response. They may be somewhat flat on axis, but are poor off axis, which can be a horror show in untreated rooms.

For once Jesse and I agree on something, I can't listen to B&W speakers, I'll have a headache within an hour.

However, this doesn't make them bad speakers since a whole lot of people love them. It all comes down to what each individuals ears like to hear. But I don't come into a thread about someone's B&W speakers and put them down and tell them to get something else, I simply keep my opinion about them to myself and stay out of the thread.

And that is the whole point of this long thread, There is nothing wrong with Emotiva amps, they have a good rep for build quality and they can be had a reasonable prices. Some might like them just fine, so there really is no need for all of the vitirol that is always directed at them or the people who might be considering buying them.

The whole point really is "if you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question".
You ask why people don't don't like the amps, we answered. Should we all just shut up and leave the
thread at the 1st post? Hold hands and sing a happy song? It's entry level gear at a good price.
I'm ok that they buy them . I'd go that route as well under budget restraints. But if you ask the forum for
an opinion, bet be prepared for answers. And they all won't be fanboys.

A lot can be said about the integrity of a company and it's product. Emotiva has to prove that they have integrity and that may take 10 years for me before I would consider spending any money on them. I truly respect a company like Bryston that offers a 20 year warranty.

I will say it again. If they are as good as they claim them to be then toss a pair of Kappa 9's on one crank it to reference volume and please report back the finding's in fact please post a video I want to see the flames as it burns down to charred mess.

Any amp I would call audiophile quality should be able to drive whatever you throw at it and I have doubt that anything they make would drive those speakers.

A whole lot of good amps are also incapable of driving those overrated, poorly designed, impedance lacking Infinitys. Emo's inability in that arena would prove nothing.IMO

I like how the Kappa 9 sound but we all see things differently. And come on .8 ohms is lacking? I have seen them driven just fine I am only bring this up because a lot of there owners claim they can drive anything. I just want to see it.
