If your speakers have serial numbers, awesome. If they do not, less than awesome when it comes to warranty coverage.

Just out of curiosity...how do subs factor into the equation when the towers virtually have their own bass drivers? I've occasionally wondered about that but never remembered to ask. Thanks. BTW...congrats.Denon X7200WA

Depends on how much bass you want or how deep you want it to dig, the other issue is how much power you have. Most subs will come with their own amplifier and that will take a huge load off your reciever / amp.

In which case, what is the advantage of having the towers vs. the books?Denon X7200WA

I think it's just individual preference on whether to get towers or bookies.

Mid bass, soundstage width and height, volume to fill a given size room.
Just because a speaker has bass drivers doesn't mean it can dig as deep as a subwoofer or perform as fast as one either.HT SYSTEM-

That makes sense. But if the user is relying on subs for the bass and thus crosses the towers at, say, 80HZ, then are the towers adding that much more mid bass, soundstage, width, and height than a bookshelf of comparable quality?Denon X7200WA
