PCB Board repair sealant

I need to know what anyone here would use to seal a PCB after repairs have been made. As most of you know you need to scrape off the green lacquer to get to the traces. What have you used to seal the area? I have tried nail polish but the thermal expansion and contraction will not allow the polish to stay more than a week or so. Is there a epoxy or something that would work long term that will not cost more than a few dollars. I have seen some stuff I googled PCB repair but it was close to 200.00 and way more than I want to spend.
Also keep in mind it may need to also come off so we have that to think of also.

Looked around Mike but all I seen was more of construction glue type or silicone chalk type. I also seen another area that had stuff for PCB type stuff but it more of a tutorial on the language used. -

Well you could simply tin the exposed copper traces with solder to keep them from oxidizing or a coat of clear lacquer.
-
Fred just any clear lacquer would work? like Deft wood lacquer or is there a specific? I leaned that way but just thought I'd toss it on the club to see. Yes I did tin the exposed but thought I should protect as best I could.
-
The Deft should be fine ,or a little spray can from your local Automotive dept.

Back when I used to etch PC boards, I used a tin plate liquid. Something like this: http://www.soldertoolsdepot.com/PC_Boards_&_Acces/PC_Etching_&_Tools/Tin_Plating_Kit_14896_DT.aspStan

thanks guys that is good info indeed

At this point I'll stick with the Deft as i do have some on hand and it will come off with a little thinner that i also have on hand. I was more worried that if i did use the Deft that it may have a adverse reaction to other things on the board to compound my problems. i.e. eat traces ahead and behind my fix.
I'm also looking into that "Conformal Coating" my only hold back is longivity once opened and price
thanks again -

It's a spray, so should last as long as any other spray paint.Home Theater/2 Channel:
