    Damn! She's lookin fine!

I have a whole lot of her albums, not every one but most. I just got the Live In Paris 45rpm vinyl, and it is awesome. Blows the cd away. I'll be all over this one on vinyl. Only because the cover will be bigger!
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

She took a page of Melody Gardot's playbook for her album cover. See the cover of The Absence. Hope they keep it up.

Just listened to some of her music last night for the first time. Started with the "Live in Rio" DTS Blu-Ray. Pretty nice experience on the HT rig.

Now, to pick up some of her studio albums from Amazon for the 2ch rig! Unless anyone knows of any other good online shops for CDs - I am hesitant to buy used just because the condition of the disc can be hit or miss.

Will do! Thanks for the tip!

Can you recommend any other female vocalists with amazing voices like this? Norah Jones comes to mind of course, just always open for suggestions.

I love that video. Are you recommending the CD version? If so, I didn't think it was a studio recording, which Clipdat was looking for.

It's live. Sound quality is amazing though, IMO it's the best Diana Krall album, period. I have the cd version and the 45RPM vinyl. I like the vinyl better.

MOG has one track of the new album available. Very bluesy with some nice slide guitar work. I think the new album will be a bit different for her. I'm looking forward to it.

Ask Rick88. He's your man on female vocalists.

You can get "Live in Paris" on cd and dvd. IMHO this is by far the best one on video. I've had her "Rio" blu ray and the Montreaux dvd and they aren't as good.

You forgot Tierney Sutton. Get her SACD "Dancing In The Dark", or CD "Desire". Both sound great, and are in the female jazz style genre, if that is a genre.

I like Rio and Paris equally but Montreaux does fall short for some reason. Probably the song selection.

You're right, she is very good but there are so many good ones. I didn't even mention Billie Holiday or Dinah Washington or Ellla Fitzgerald! Also Eva Cassidy is a must for any fan of female vocalist. All of her albums are very good.

Which vinyl version do you own? I have the 45RPM. The reviews I read said that the 33RPM version on 180g blows away the cd, and that the 45RPM vinyl blows away the 33RPM. So I shot for the moon, and definitely am impressed!

Another great jazz chanteuse is Stacey Kent. Like a contemporary Anita O'Day--only not so scary. I've been a Krall fan from the start, but felt she went off course with her Brazilian album of a few years ago. Haven't heard anything newer. Did you see her on the tube at Neil Armstrong's memorial, singing "Fly Me to the Moon"? Very touching. She knew him, apparently.
